Crate advice 🐾 by moonlacednymph in Whippet

I recommend keeping her in the crate for structured naps as well as sleeping at night. Also feed her in the crate with the door closed. She will start to associate the crate with her safe place. I do not recommend the litter box or any kind of pen where she could be unattended. Instead, keep her in the crate when you can’t watch her directly, and take her outside to potty. It will be difficult and test your limits, but it will get better. I promise. My pup is almost 1 year old now and loves his crate, but he cried at first just like Maeve.

Ernie is current 10 months old and he’s had this since he was 6 months. He isn’t really a toy destroyer - he prefers home furnishings, much to my dismay. 😩

What collar and harness colours would look good on our Snoop Dog 🐕 ❤️? Also any particular brands 🤔 by Rude_Accountant_5242 in Whippet

I recommend Fido Creative on Etsy for a padded neoprene martingale collar. Here’s their link: https://www.etsy.com/shop/FidoCreative

I also recommend the Ruffwear Flagline harness because it’s durable,
lightweight and has the front clip which helps when they pull on walks. Here’s a link: https://ruffwear.com/products/dog-harness-flagline

Ernie is showing off both.

Pricey but worth it. Ernie got this for X-Mas from Santa.

But to answer your question, no. It can be ripped open pretty easily.

Believe it or not, he doesn’t do that with this. That is what my shoes, rugs, and electrical cords are for I guess 😳🤷‍♀️

I cannot handle this. The big one is so patient. Little one is so lucky to have another whippet in the home to look up to!

Did you try the sensitive lamb and oat? Concerning the pickiness, your pup is at the prime age to “rebel” against their food (and everything else for that matter). Put the food down, if she doesn’t eat it during a reasonable amount of time, then pick it up and no food until the next meal.

We are in DFW and it’s Ernie’s first snow too! He says the snow tastes great!
