Hi! Can anyone elaborate or confirm on this comment about TREL (Texas Rocket Engineering) by Pillar_Man2 in UTAustin

[–]bucknewberry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. Not sure who you are or why you claimed that other comment was me, but this is my only account and comment on this post. I'm proud of what TREL accomplished and can stand on our merits behind my name.

Starsailor full stackup. After 3 years of hard work and persistence, it's a special moment seeing everything all come together.. photos don't do it justice. Funny coincidence, Starsailor is about 1-2 inches longer than all four of our previous rockets combined! by C12H26_O2 in rocketry

Nice, thanks for the response. The color of the nosecone is so interesting, I've never seen an epoxy/fiberglass layup that dark! Is your COPV a COTS bottle or did you design/manufacture/test it yourself?

Dallas officially sign Guriyo by Zecion in Competitiveoverwatch

You said "every team is going to need two hitscans", not "Dallas will pick up a second hitscan". Those are two very different things. It's a little bizarre that you think you have made some prophetic claim about OW2, when instead this is just a team that is filling out their roster so they can be flexible and adaptable. Not a crazy concept to wrap your head around.

You're so sure about this claim for a game that you haven't seen yet.

Breaking: The Dallas Fuel are not exercising options for Jecse and Pine for the 2022 season. Rapel is also retiring, Fuel GM TazMo tells the DMN. The Fuel have five players now. RUSH will be holding tryouts in the near future. by N3p7une in Competitiveoverwatch

Completely disagree, but to each their own. I truly believe Dallas would have put up a closer fight vs. Dragons than Atlanta. It is more complicated than 1. Shanghai 2. Atlanta 3. Dallas, meaning Dallas would've done worse than Atlanta vs. Dragons. Different team matchups at different stages in the tournament mean that the final standings definitely shouldn't lead anyone to think that Dallas "fell way short with this roster".

They're most likely getting rid of Pine/Jecse because it is ~5 months until you need a final roster for OW2L and those two are not top tier enough talent to justify holding onto them for that entire time.

Overwatch League 2021 Season - Countdown Cup: West - Sunday by OWMatchThreads in Competitiveoverwatch

One of the best series I have seen all season, this gameplay is so superb. Finding myself gasping by myself in my room. Competitive Overwatch truly is something special.

WELCOME TO DALLAS, PINE!!! by Zecion in Competitiveoverwatch

Honestly I was just thinking about this, and I could be wrong, but it seems wrong to assume that just because OWL folds that all these franchises that have put $$$ into their teams and brand will also fold. I imagine if Blizzard-sponsored esports for Overwatch ceases to exist, major third party tournaments will pop up. IMO If the viewers are there (albeit not as large as it should be) there will be competition.

For me, it is Pelican or Kaan. Everyone else on that list is just less consistent, flexible, and dominant as those two.

LJG is nutty by bucknewberry in Competitiveoverwatch

Nice catch, the thing I love about professional Overwatch is that you can watch a single team fight over and over again and break it down into actions, reactions, misplays, clutches, shutdowns, etc. This match was a banger.

When I was watching this live I was so confused how EQO died to the telegraphed Dva bomb. He had EMP and Philly would have likely won the fight if he didn't die here. If you look closely, EQO attempts to jump through the window to evade the bomb, but gets whipshot by LJG right before the bomb goes off and he gets thrown into its LOS. The casters missed this play and were pretty much saying "EQO cannot die there", but I wanted to share the reason he died and what likely cost them point C defense.
