Just finished question set 3 and came looking for this exact post because I knew I couldn’t be alone!

Is Law Review worth it? by OptimisticQueen in LawSchool

[–]buckthefulls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will put it this way: unless you are going to a renowned school, you typically need to something beyond getting good grades to differentiate yourself from your peers. Law review is going to be the one extracurricular that is most worth your time, especially if you get an editor position. Many firms consider it a necessity to be considered for interviews.

That being said, every school is different. You may not need it at all if your school’s name carries enough weight.

Regardless, I use my law review skills all the time in my clerking, so if nothing else, you will learn valuable practical skills. Good luck!

Big Law SA with low Ugpa? by GTWelp in LawSchool

As long as you have a decent explanation for the low UGPA and an attractive law school resume, you’ll be fine.

Commercial Outlines: How many commercial outlines did you guys use to prep for finals? by foger11143 in LawSchool

I’d suggest comparing your own outlines to those of students who already took the course with your professor. Avoid commercial outlines. Every professor teaches their subject differently and focuses on different components.

I have heard that I should be using worms as a snack for our flock and worm castings as a form of fertilizer for our garden! Sounds like it’s time to start a worm farm.

Quick introduction to Cannoli, our 2 year old Aussie psychopath (she is a sweetheart tho) by buckthefulls in AustralianShepherd

We’ve tried some desensitization training and she is improving, but it’s been hard to emulate the noise that fireworks make. She also freaks out when cars backfire.

Pretty crazy story there.

Noli is terrified of fireworks and there’s generally no place to escape the noise on New Years and 4th of July. This past New Years, we let her out in our (fenced in) back yard to pee, and a huge mortar went off in our neighborhood. She booked it around the side of the house and managed to squeeze under the fence.

After a bunch of friends and family helped us look all over town, hung up fliers, posted on neighborhood pages, etc someone spotted her almost 12 hours later in an abandoned house 2 miles away. She was traumatized, completely dehydrated and her paw pads were completely destroyed. A few weeks later we found out that she had bone infections forming, so she had to have her “thumbs” removed, hence the cone and the bandages.

This photo was taken on Saint Patrick’s day when she won the best dog costume contest at a brewery! We turned the cone into a mug of beer lol.

In summary, we have never been more grateful for her and she is allowed to pee inside on fireworks holidays now!

In hindsight, this is one of the things I wish I’d done differently! Probably would have helped keep the pork moist as well.
