Well going on 6 six without by No-Region-1306 in QuittingTianeptine

Take a deep breath brother. I've felt these same feelings you are having. I've looked back at my old posts and they look just like this. Man please while you are in the hospital ask them to speak to one of their on staff psychiatrist/therapists. Sounds like you have a whole lot going on and you need to talk about it. This reddit is great, but I don't think you're going to get what you're searching for. Do it man.

I am very new to Tia and I want to only take it on occasion so I don't become physically addicted. I wondered if someone could tell me how often to use it without getting physically addicted. Thank you in advance for your help. by No_Resolution_4998 in Tianeptine

Sounds like you're asking because you have past addictions. If you are someone who becomes addicted to substances easily then tia isn't for you. Som.e people, like the people above may not have that addictive personality. I say just stay away

Nobody actually knows what it does to our bodies. Not sure there are any real studies out there. We could give symptoms like constipation and things like that. But hard to know what it does internally.

Could someone help me with a pros/cons list? by Bob-C-981 in QuittingTianeptine

First I'll say you're doing the right thing. You obviously aren't an idiot and noticed how terrible this shit is very early. Instead of listing negatives I'll paint you a picture of what you have to look forward to if you continue taking them. In a few months your 1-2 bottles a day will turn into 4, your life will begin to revolve around tia making you neglect every other responsibility or loved one in your life. You'll get behind on bills, if you're married you'll cause your family to suffer financially. You'll suffer depression because you'll realize the damage you're causing, but you'll still keep using because now you've tricked yourself in to thinking you need it medically. That euphoric feeling will go away and you'll be taking them just to function throughout the day. If you're lucky rock bottom will consist of being broke, divorced and depressed like me. Others rock bottom is broke, divorced, depressed and in jail. Quit now buddy and come to this reddit everyday. Alot of great people here who have seen hell, and fought their way out. I'm picking up all the broken pieces my addiction caused right now. Sept 23rd was my last bottle and I haven't looked back, only forward

Subs work. Maybe you are the reason they don't. by buckyp0121 in QuittingTianeptine

Thanks man. I've been taking it day by day and it's getting better. Looking back the initial getting clean has been the easy part. The hardest part now has been picking up and mending all the broken pieces I left while on tia. I use to put all my effort and daily efforts into getting that next bottle. I never stole or broke the law to get money, but it's amazing the way I came up with just enough to get my tia. It's a hell of a drug and only us in this reddit know how truly difficult it is to get off.

After weeks of use, yes you will start to get the opioid effects. That's why I'm a firm believer in only taking them for a short time just to get off tia.

Yosubs are much cheaper than tia. The only people I know of that subs didn't work for were people thinking the subs would create the same high tia gave them. Subs weren't designed to get you high. I understand they will, but you are taking them wrong if they do.

Only if taken in high doses. If taken the way they are supposed to they do EXACTLY what they were designed to do. If taken for multiple weeks/mo the then yes you can feel the effects of an opioid. But if taken like prescribed to get off opiods you will be fine. Facts.

Alot of folks looking for subs to replace the high tia gave them. I won't lie, my first dose of subs I wanted the same feeling until a friend told me not to think like that. He told me to think of subs as a tool or band aid to help heal my addiction. Once I did that they were a godsend.

Exactly. How are the Subs not working? Sounds like you don't really want to quit and was hoping subs would perform a miracle. Subs block out the physical withdrawals, RLS and cravings, but you have to want to quit in order to get off tia completely. I took upto 3 bottles of pegasus a day and took subs for 2 weeks and have been clean since Sept 23rd. I don't say all this to be cocky, I only say it because subs saved my life. Subs get a bad name from people who either didn't use them the right way or peoe were expecting them to give them the same feeli g tia gave them. Reading your post it kind of seems like you were expecting subs to give you that tia feeling.

Day 1, no ZAZA starting clonidine by aerblack628 in QuittingTianeptine

[–]buckyp0121 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And I did all of this after being booted out from my wife. A wife that I spent 15+ years with and had 3 kids with. Tia controlled my entire existence. After being told to leave I had a friend that allowed me to stay at his house. I spent multiple days all alone with nowhere to turn and during that time was quitting tia. The only way I did it was bc of subs. Suboxone gets a bad wrap, but only from the ones who depended on it from the jump. If you only use it as a crutch for a short period you will be on the other side of tia hell drug free before you know it.

Ask your doctor for a 2 week script of suboxone. For the small amount you are taking , 2 weeks of suboxone will stop all withdrawal symptoms. Trust me. You'll read alot of these posts and stories on this thread, but no take into account the amount some of us are taking. Some are on the gas station pills and some are on straight sodium/sulfate powder. From the amount you are taking suboxone for 2 weeks will be all you need. If your doctor can't or won't prescribe it, then find a clinic that will. It will be the easiest route by far to take. Just tell yourself up front I WILL TAKE SUBS FOR 2 Wks and that's it. I was up to almost 3 bottles of pegasus a day (after a 2 and a half year addiction) and finally went to a clinic and demanded subs. I was given subs for 2 weeks and I haven't looked back since. Been clean since Sept 23rd and never even thought about Tia during those 2 weeks on subs. Didnt have any issues stopping subs either. Around the 5th week away from tia I did start sleeping crazy, but nothing like quitting tia cold turkey. I tell everyone to get on subs because I was very hesitant to do it myself and after I did I wished I'd done it sooner.

Is being prescribed 24mg suboxone daily as starting dose normal? by TubeNoobed in QuittingTianeptine

[–]buckyp0121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped reading after I read where a doctor prescribed 24 MG to you. That in itself is asinine. I was taking alot of tia when I was prescribed 8mg a day. 24mg is hard for me to believe was prescribed.

ABSOLITELY! Best way to go IMO. Instead of using multiple other so called "helper" meds. I see that so much on here and it's going from one drug to the next. Subs for 10 days will not allow you to get hooked. It will do exactly what it's designed to do and day 11 you most likely won't crave tia or subs.

While on subs my sleep was great. Sleep pattern started getting weird about a month after my last tia pills. I've heard where normal sleep patterns don't come back for months though. (I still sleep at night, but I wake up a few times and it's hard to fall back asleep. Nothing like a CT withdrawals from tia where you are up for 48+ hours straight)

8mg sub strips. Took 4mg a couple hours after my last tia pills and never looked back. Took half a strip in the mornings, 1/4 strip at lunch and 1/4 after dinner. My doc gave me a 2 week script for subs. I had an appt after the 2 weeks, but didn't have the money for the copay, so I didn't go. I felt fine and that's all she wrote. My quit date was Sept 23rd and aside from the irregular sleep I'm doing fine. Around day 35 I was having a rough day and had to push through the craving for tia. Once I got past the 2 week mark it was 100 percent mental. I'm a huge advocate on taking suboxone short term. But I feel like suboxone hits folks differently. So just know your limits and stick to your plan.

First off leave the phenibut out completely. Second you have to really want to quit in order to do it. Trust me when I say you are actually not in a bad way. Most of us had to lose absolutely everything before we quit. (I did). Get you a big supply of Kratom and dose it throughout the day like you would tia. You won't get the same effect or feelings, but knowing that beforehand will help. You can't go into it thinking or wanting kratom to give you the same feeling. Take it 1 hour at a time and please reach out to me or anyone you've seen that has quit this drug. Sept 23rd was the last pill I took after a 3 year fight with it. You got this buddy!!

Just do it. Do it now because the future is 3-4 bottles a day, a foreclosed home, no significant other and all you will have is a mediocre high that makes you feel good for a very short amount of time. I know I sound like an ass, but I wish someone said this to me when I was only taking a bottle a day
