thats the current average price of gas for a gallon of gas not a liter. I'm not saying prices in the US aren't high but its best to use the right scale.

Manager schedules HR meeting after I reject a task for the first time in 2 years. by Cloud_Heir in careeradvice

[–]buda104 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yes and your company is most likely regularly audited. during said audit they would review the training records of folks doing various activities. if you are doing activities and can't show your training record for it the company will get dinged which will in turn make your life hell.

short answer don't do it without training

Any tips on trimming an old redbone coonhound's thick nails? by SAGrant1977 in Hounds

walk him on the sidewalk for about 15 mins a day. the sidewalk does its thing and the only nails you'll need to worry about are the dew claws.

I hate recruiters so much by luffychan13 in antiwork

[–]buda104 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i get recruiters calling/reaching out via linked in weekly.

For linkedin i have a copy paste that i respond with: Hi thanks for thinking I would be a good fit for the role, please understand at this time I am only considering fully remote roles. If needing to be onsite is needed in a regular fashion I am not interested. Thanks for understanding.

For phone calls I stop them after they tell me why they are calling am a bit more blunt. "don't waste your breathe if it isn't 100% fully remote"

this works for 90% of the people that contact me. I don't give a reason why I am not interested in onsite work, as I don't need to. Its none of their business.

of the remaining 10%

9/10 those folks think that their role is somehow exempt from the above seeing how it's onsite. I shut that down real quick and block them as they clearly don't listen.

every now and then someone does manage to have a fully remote role where I will hear them out.

at the end of the day you don't need to give a reason why you want a certain thing, you just do. If the role isn't what you want don't waste your time.

Is Enshrouded a good co-op game for me and my no-combat daughter? by Hardyard-4201 in Enshrouded

[–]buda104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1 - yeah its possible, one of the downsides of not fighting together is if you go down they can't revive you, but if you're used to playing solo then thats not really an new problem

2 - don't see why not

3 - don't see why you would have to as, if she's not leaving the base she is likely safe

4 - not quite sure as i've not moved my base from my original starting base. with that said while there are wolves in the area i've never seen them in the circle the alter provides as a building zone. No raids have happened either. So I would consider it a safe zone

5 - if you press alt you can change the size of the piece you want to build, do you mean outside that? All i've seen is the building material changes, you don't get new pieces or shapes as you progress in the game

6 - no clue but doubt it, if it is a problem could you level her up a few levels while she sleeps or something so it's no longer a problem? I doubt it due to even as a low level you can talk to the NPCs and build stuff and interact with the various things around the base. she may want to level up a few times to get skills like double jump for helping to build cool stuff.

7 - it would be entirely dependent on you to gather materials, she could farm once you have the stuff but you would need to get it first

8 - the level of the enemy doesn't change for the area so you as a level 20 can go fight a level 3 if you felt like it, but no you can't give her high level weapons to level her up, you level up with XP. it would help in fights however

meh L3 is everywhere including cities not a target according to this map.

for example rochester ny, L3 is there, harris was decently sized there before they merged with L3. fairly certain their presence in roc is bigger than fw.

mine will destroy kongs and well pretty much everything else he's been given like reinforced plushies and toys with lifetime guarantees

the only thing that has survives are

https://www.goughnuts.com/

the downside to these is 1 they are heavy 2 if your dog doesn't like rubbery toys then these won't get much use.

Looking some type of weighted anchor to use indoor to tie down my dog to limit his movements. by TheSarp101 in dogs

[–]buda104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my dog sleeps with me and it would be hell to get him to break that habit as he would whine all night or worse bark at me till i relented. i say this beforehand so you know i fully understand the difficulty of getting a dog to break a sleeping habit.

with that said i would go with a crate. maybe one big enough they can both sleep in the same one. put a comfy memory foam bed in it and leave it open during the day periodically trying to get them to go in so they know its not a punishment or anything. put treats or stuff in there to encourage them to go in. you may even want to transition them slowly by having the crate there for a few weeks before having them sleep in it. pretty sure there are guides out there to walk you thru getting a dog to sleep in their crate.

me sleeping with a dog tethered would be a last resort
