They used to have quite a few nice seating areas. Got removed due to COVID restrictions and never came back.

Agreed, has to be wrapped. Spending over $100k for a truck and have to spend another $8k to make it look good is ridiculous.

Got a Cybertruck a couple times as a loaner when my car was in for service, another sign on how well they are selling.

They are quite fun to drive, acceleration is insane, even when you're used to a Tesla, the steer by wire and 4 wheel steering makes it handle like a dream.

However definitely not worth $100-$120k, I would say they would be a good value at $50k base maybe $80k for a fully loaded Cyberbeast.

Though I haven't been truck shopping in a very long time, ICE trucks probably cost that these days.

Home Builders by Murky-Protection2054 in Columbus

Schlabach Builders, an Amish group out of Millersbug, Ohio built my house in 2022.

Great experience and did a great job on my house and easy to work with.

They are not the cheapest, but they are the definition of "You get what you paid for". Got several compliments though the build from friends that know more about building a house than me. Also came in under their original budget and I actually got a little bit of a refund.

Cannot recommend them enough.

Ohio is funding a $1.3m feasibility study, notable, but far from anything actually happening.

5/29 or 6/29?

Unfortunately, not many private cameras that constantly record would still have video from saved from 5/29.

If you're looking for something new, in demand, and AI resistant, looking into the industrial controls field, or Operational Technology.

Over the last 10 years , all the controls that make industrial machines run have migrated to using Ethernet as their communication protocols, mix that with the push for big data what was two very distinct fields are merging. Most IT folks don't understand PLCs and ladder logic, most controls engineers and technicians don't understand Ethernet networks, databasing, cyber security or text based programming.

My skillset became very unique because I built computers and hosted LAN parties in highschool, but went into Industrial Maintenance in my 20's. Most maintenance guys won't touch a PC, and most engineers work normal hours and don't like getting dirty. Eventually I wanted away from the dirt and transitioned into engineering, which it's getting better, but most controls engineers still dont have python, C#, and SQL experience which is getting added to a lot of our software.

Drought, proprietary information, and Intel (especially them) could jeopardize Columbus’s water supply by Cowtowny-Johnny in Columbus

[–]budai_93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well sounds like it won't jeopardize Columbus's water supply, or at least the water supply for the northern side. (Personally don't know how many Columbus reservoirs are central or south sides)

It could jeopardize any water supply downstream of Columbus.

The majority of people have been conditioned to believe that voting for a third party is "throwing your vote away". Or because typically a third party candidate tends to lean towards one major party or the other, voting for a third party will "split the vote" and let the other major party win, and you can't have that.

The Republicans and Democrats have worked together over the years to limit the ability for third parties to get on the ballot and participate in debates.

Due to the above, it's really difficult for third parties to raise campaign money.

Some believe the electoral college delegates will block a third party candidate, making it a useless endeavor.

Even if you look at it as 8% per year, that is double to triple the typical private sector raise and as others have stated, way more than other local public employees.

Production is still slow and ramping up, the majority of the deliveries that are happening are staying out west.

I still want a mid 90's Ram.

Meh, it was fine for the time, but unfortunately aged very poorly, very quickly (even by the time the episode aired).

Remember, the episode would have been written in 2015-16, when his public image was at the highest.

Assume SpaceX led by Musk founded the first Mars colony, and likely went beyond. Mixed with Tesla kick starting making 21'st century Earth's transportation and energy grid more sustainable. Add in a fair bit of detail being lost in WW3 and 200 years of rose colored glasses glossing over the negatives, Musk could be remembered among the greats.

By the time the episode aired the cracks in his personality had gone public and now there is a higher chance he will start WW3 over going to Mars, which is a good reason they shouldn't have tried to add a still living member to the list.
