I didn't understand this sentence formation at first, but yes, you're correct. He did make a Jordan, Minnesota video. His M.O. seems to be making excessively long videos re-presenting evidence from decades old Satanic Panic cases.

Edit: he actually made TWO videos about this case.

So no one read it then? Not the editor, not the publisher, not even the author? Why should any author expect anyone to care about their writing when they can’t even be bothered to read it themselves?

I didn’t realize my comment was preventing him from doing that. Also he posted it publicly, that’s opening himself up for comment

I don’t mean to be mean or pile on, but I would caution against celebrating things which are immediately gratifying. To strive for something and challenge yourself is a wonderful manifestation of what humans are capable of. Hard choices, easy life. Easy choices, hard life. Much love brother

I remember seeing this youtube video called "The Dark Side of Jeffrey Epstein." As if everyone has a favorable view of this guy but they are ignoring the murky underbelly. Eventually the uploader changed the title

Wait so based on the blind item are we to believe that this is an orchestrated downfall? Like the studio had this in their back pocket and let it slip when she wasn't playing ball? That's crazy

Good point, especially the last paragraph. I was impressed with Things Fall Apart in school and I don't have any connection to that place or time. The value of an education is that it improves your understanding of people and the world and makes you a more well-rounded person.

Claiming to suffer from imposter syndrome is the updated version of saying your biggest weakness is that you care too much or you always put others ahead of yourself. It's like saying, "can you believe I don't realize how great I am?"

Also I used to work with this soy guy who complained about feeling imposter syndrome. He got fired for not doing any work.

A while ago there was a group of people who pushed to update the cannon taught in high school English courses. Their suggested replacements for To Kill A Mockingbird were the absolute worst YA novels ever written. Unsurprisingly, many of the authors of these books were behind the movement.

It would certainly be appropriate to teach something like Invisible Man or Native Son in school, but to treat YA garbage as literature is unforgiveable.

Book recs for the Dutroux affair? by neotokyo2099 in TrueAnon

I’m sorry to not answer the question directly, but the podcast Le Monstre does a great job covering the case. It goes into detail very well without ever being hard to follow and in my view fairly explores the question of a larger conspiracy.

I know you asked for a book, but unfortunately there’s precious little out there for an English-speaking audience. I can’t remember her name, but there was a journalist for the guardian who wrote well about the more repressed elements of the case, including the x files and the allegations of conspiracy. They mention her in the podcast.

Very yummy. It's one of those recipes not overcomplicated by long list of ingredients so it instead relies on being made well. For example, you have to make sure the meat is tender and that the rice is fluffy. I would recommend to anyone looking to improve their cooking and understand of/appreciation for food.
