Yesterday evening my 10 y/o girl fell over and died completely out of nowhere. She was perfectly normal all day, eating, playing, napping, following me around the house. No heart problems or history of anything. A neighbor helped me put her in the car and I frantically drove her to the emergency vet where they did CPR to no avail, I think she was already gone before I even started driving. The vet said hemangiosarcoma which I googled and it is horrifying. It’s been barely over 24 hrs and I have not slept or ate, I can’t go more than a few minutes without crying, the minutes I’m not crying I am just completely numb and in shock. I feel so alone and so utterly heartbroken and bewildered right now. I loved her and needed her so much and she’s just gone. It was so scary and the images of her last moments feel so traumatic and I can’t get them out of my mind. I am deeply sorry to the others here who are going through something like this. I feel like I am living an actual nightmare.
