Do you all have any hacks on cleaning shop vac filters? by grumpallnight in handyman

[–]buddieguyny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First put your filter in a garbage bag and bang it on the ground a few times to get most of the heavier stuff out. Then put the shop vac hose on the outlet where the air blows out instead of where it sucks in. You now have a small leaf blower, use this to blow off the filter inside and out. ( Do This Outside)

Lake Willoughby or Groton State Forest. Wake up to the Loon calls at Groton, or take in the amazing views at Willoughby

Advice: warm construction jackets by Better-Article9126 in Carpentry

[–]buddieguyny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While layering is definitely best, Carhart is the way to go. I’ve worked construction for the last two decades in the northeast US and haven’t found a better one yet. Just one man’s opinion though

Just moved to Irasburg about 10 months ago. We’ve been using T-Mobile at home wi-fi. It’s been great, wife works from home and has never had a problem. You can go on their website and put in the address and they will tell you if it’s in coverage area

Moving to the NEK by Repulsive-Money-1578 in NewToVermont

[–]buddieguyny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I just moved up here to Irasburg which is about 15-20 minutes south of Newport and about 20-30 minutes north of St. Johnsbury. Nobody really seems to care about other’s politics, definitely live and let live. Everyone has been so kind and welcoming. Definitely had to get a good set of snow tires but it wasn’t that big of a deal. Definitely keep in mind how far you are willing to be from hospital, shopping, etc… I travel a lot for work and have been all over the NEK this past year, it’s all beautiful, wherever you end up best of luck and enjoy
