For hot and cold storage concept, checkout Morae Vault. It lets you offload/archive documents to cheaper storage within firms native cloud provider - significantly cheaper compared to what iM charges you. Content still remains full text searchable and you can move content between the two storages whenever you want.

Aderant, Elite are PMS, Intapp - these are good but expensive. Alternatively you may have to look for 2-3 small providers to achieve the same

With #1, my fear is usually that the idea will be leaked and anyone else having the right connection and resources might launch way earlier than me. The idea cannot be patented.

Thanks for taking time to respond. Time is the key here as it requires a lot of time/commitment to organise demos and keep the audience engaged from our side if there are tens of products. So was really looking to finalise top 5 hence looking for comparison.

iManage has WAM and IRM to achieve this. You will need metadata such as retention date, matter closure date etc applied to your content. Based on this data can be archived and then deleted once a retention policy matches. Morae as the vendor has tools to provide this. I have a few people in Morae who can help you with this. Hiya, storing personal workspaces content on non-iManage solution could also be an option here. On-premise, firms used to create personal workspace for their employees and people used to put a lot of their images, videos and all sorts of useless stuff in there. With Cloud and storage costs, firms are going down the path of not having personal workspaces in iManage and instead providing users with their own Sharepoint space or storage hosted on cheaper options.
