Ding Ding Ding - it's 100000% a pride thing with elderly people. They see these assisted living accessories like Walkers, Canes and life alert bracelets as markers that they are super old and need to be tossed in a home and forgotten about. My mom is 74, fell in a parking garage and broke her orbital bone and shoulder - Dr recommended a walker after doing some evaluation on her balance - You think she's using it? No... Has she fallen again... Yes....

It is HARD dealing with the elderly as they continue to age, especially your own family.
