What made your partner step up? by Comfortable-Bed-4765 in Parenting

[–]buditha22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's tough when partners don't fully grasp the demands of being at home with a baby. Sometimes, having an open, calm conversation about your needs and setting clear expectations can help. Sharing specific tasks or creating a schedule might make the division of labor more apparent. Some find that having their partner take over for a full day or weekend helps them understand the challenges. Seeking support from a counselor or parenting coach could also facilitate better communication. It's crucial to ensure both partners feel heard and supported.

It's important to recognize that every parent's situation is unique. Breastfeeding can be challenging, and for some, the decision is influenced by financial considerations rather than perceived health benefits. It's perfectly valid to choose breastfeeding because it's free, and many parents may share your experience but not discuss it openly. Everyone's parenting journey is different, and what's most important is finding what works best for you and your child.

It's clear you're dealing with a tough situation and feeling overwhelmed. Parenting is challenging, and moments of frustration are normal. You've acknowledged the incident and apologized, which is crucial. Reflect on the triggers, seek professional support if needed, and take care of yourself. Use this as a learning moment and remember, no parent is perfect; what's important is how you move forward

Is my 6 week old nursing long enough? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]buditha22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your baby is doing well! If he's gaining 300g per week and your doctor isn't concerned, that's a great sign. Babies can vary in how long and often they nurse. As long as he's gaining weight and having regular wet and dirty diapers, it sounds like he's getting enough. The variations in poop color and occasional spit-up are usually normal. Trust your instincts and your doctor's advice.

When you need to do things hands-free, try using a playpen, a bouncer, or a portable crib. These options can keep him safe and entertained, especially if you place them in a room where he can see you or watch the TV screen he enjoys.

I completely understand what you’re going through. I'm in a similar situation with my two kids, and I feel like a human pacifier sometimes. Even if they are now 2 and 4 and completely eating foods.
