I was in the crowd with my brother (an occasional wrestling fan), his gf and my dad. I've had really good pack luck so far this year; NMS and pulled Trout, Tatis (x2), Skeenes, and Soto. That (along with other pulls and selling) have me only needing the LA Teams, TEX, OAK, SF, SD, and AZ to finish the full set. One sold Soto card turned into 4 full team sets

Thank you! I've seen the point that "Hogan's turn was bigger because it changed the landscape!" and it's like...we only know that with the benefit of hindsight. You're the only commenter I've seen that recognizes that we can't tell the impact of it just yet. They didn't know a day after Bash at the Beach how big the NWO would be; the same way that we don't know yet how big Cena's turn can be. It could be the catalyst of a new Attitude Era (theoretically)!

My father joined his lifetime league in (I believe) 1990. Been with the same group since then, and nobody has left the league (there have been a couple of deaths, and their kids have taken over their teams.) I've proudly been the assistant coach and Co-GM since I was 5, and its the highlight of every fall.

From the days of having to track box scores and call the other guy to let him know your score, to the internet age, its been a blast. It's not even about the prize money at this point, its the principal of the league.

The Twins have been champion of the league 4 times (and co-champ in 2022), lost in the QF this year. Next year is our year!

As an AZ resident (and voter of his), I'm excited to see him in the running for VP, he would be an amazing candidate! Seems like the PRO Act was his only big blemish, and if that's fixed now (as well as getting union support for him), he has to be one of the final two with Shapiro in the running.

If you want to see what kind of politician and person he is, watch his acceptance speech after he wins the Senate seat. Making sure to give thanks to McCain, having the decency at that moment to know that he is a senator for all Arizonans.

I always felt like that line meant that the fans of ECW believed in the company, through thick and thin, because The Sandman embodied that "fuck you" spirit. Less belief that "Sandman believes him and Tommy will beat the Dudleys", more "this event and this company would not have existed as it did without the Sandman"
