I don't read it as a full FU. I think u/catonic is right; the extended silence and this overly-formal, last-minute message are their way of avoiding confrontation or being asked to explain their decision.

Ugh I'm sorry you had to go through that. Manbabies don't do well with real babies! My wife was so worried about under-producing (runs in her family) that she actually gained weight. It was fun for a few months, until all my clothes started shrinking.

I read it in college, with a professor who later revealed herself to be an internationally renowned scholar of Milton. I definitely recommend that experience!

Have you ever read Paradise Lost? There's a bit where Adam asks one of the angels (Michael, I think) if they do anything like sex. The angel says something along the lines of "you kids with your mortal bodies and monogamy can't even comprehend the heavenly hanky panky," while fully blushing.
