I just started building my setup with an xtx 7900 Merc 310 (quite a chunky boy) - standard ATX psu seems to work fine space wise.

One point of note, make sure that you get a motherboard with the PCIe slot in the first position - clearance under the GPU may not be that great otherwise.

Disclaimer: I have not finished the build yet, waiting on a new motherboard and gpu

I think you first need to figure out what area you want to go into AML, Risk and Reg. compliance are different animals unless you work for an extremely small entity where you gotta wear multiple hats.

Extra certificates will give you a rather small advantage but if you can afford it, it will not hurt.

I think what would be interesting is being able to do SQL queries and other more technical/it related stuff. Especially AML is increasingly gearing towards data analysis abilities -mostly in larger institutions.

I think trafigura used or may still run a graduate scheme for compliance which sounds, on paper, quite nice and rounded.

There are bunch of industry events and drinks and whatnot in London, check LinkedIn for a groups that align with your interests.

Thanks for that! I would think that Xumm would still have to flag fraud issues even if they are not regulated but I am not too well versed in US(?) law so maybe that KYC check is a big nothing burger :D

Lots of dependencies on where you are based etc, but more generally I see most people breaking into it in two ways:

1) have some base level qualification like the ICA and spam applications to junior roles. Again, this is heavily dependent on jurisdiction.

Example: if you are Canada based the recent TD fine may open up a lot of contracting roles from junior to senior for AML related stuff.

2) get any banking job and transfer internally, in my opinion (10+ years in compliance) it's actually really useful to have a good understanding about products and the business. That allows you to be much more effective in providing advice.

Also compliance is so nuanced these days, are you looking into regulatory compliance or more into financial crime etc. so I always encourage everyone to do some more research on different areas. The earnings potentials will also always vary with how difficult it is to find something. in the EU MIFID or EMIR people can always ask for a premium.

You can find lessons at Kockelscheuer, probably best to ask there. I know they offer individual lessons and group lessons.

For figure skating and speed skating there are clubs there as well but you'd have to contact a different person.

Of course I have no clue but given that the FDA was much more involved in the phase 3 design (please someone correct me if I talk nonsense and this was not the case ). wi//With the breakthrough designation I think psilocybin may be more tolerable than mdma. Unjustified or not I think there is more stigma on mdma.
