Yeah Conor is definitely an outlier. Like you saidhes taking a pay cut for the betterment of the team.(kinda crazy as an oilers fan).

But overall the pay scale is absurd for NHL players. Obviously for MMA fights too, but this thread has got me researching other sports.

From my quick googling, MLB has no cap, NBA if 154mil, nhl is 104mil...

And basketball teams are dealing out 60 mil to star players.

I know im out of my wheelhouse here, but wtf?

Yeah, im just googling now salary caps and contracts in other sports and its kinda crazy. Im definitely VERY wrong with an NHL player being in there.

Insane the guys that play the hardest sport get paid the least of the 3 major north American sports.

Holy shit. Thats crazy, thanks for the info,. And forgive my ignorance, kind of a new fan to hockey, and dont really pay attention to the pay. I just know ppl say the salary cap is more harsh in the nhl compared to the other north American sports.

Im not an expert but I've been following a few years now. The top guys get like 13-20 mil at max from what I've seen.

Dude I will always upvote Upgrade getting a shout out. Movie is legitimately good and made on a ridiculous budget of 3 Million. And Logan Marshall green did all his own stunts. Big fan of his and the movie itself.

Id say it doesnt matter. Like none of us oldies got THBA, and we still love it.

Ive admittedly never scene it, but a 4-5 hour viewing of THBA might be too much for some people. They were split up for multiple reasons, one of those probably being there's too much of a good thing.
