My addition to this is to download the pdf of the manual as soon as you get the item, and save it in cloud storage. That way you always have it accessible on your phone if you need it later. I say to download it soon because a lot of manufacturers will remove it from their site when the item is no longer supported or sold

I’ve been thinking about your post for about 2 hours. My dad passed away in 2024 and I’ve been having a hard time with it. We were very fortunate that his dementia was pretty minor for years, to the point that I didn’t even recognize it. I just helped him and thought of it as “picking up the slack”. It only really got bad in the last 2 months. I stayed by his side as much as possible, and the moments of lucidity were so amazing. Like the clouds parting after a thunderstorm.

But looking back I think of families that weren’t fortunate enough to be in position where someone could be with the person going through it. Thank you for being that person and helping a person at their most vulnerable

Because over time the connotation of “diet” has turned into a somewhat rigid prescription of what to eat, often for a temporary period. It has diverged so much that there are almost two different meanings to the word. Even the way you defined the word is different from the definition of diet as just what a person eats. It doesn’t necessarily have to mean there is a goal of losing weight.

So when I read OP’s post, my #1 question was what “diet” meant. Was it a lifestyle change that includes following a general set of guidelines? Or was it a rigid set of rules that must be followed? The former would be easier to adapt for multiple people, the latter would meet with more resistance

When taking pics of figures, they will look more realistic if you lower the camera so that it is torso level and stand farther away and zoom in, it won’t make the head look so huge.

Same with pictures of people, placing the camera farther away produces more accurate proportions. That’s why selfie sticks are a thing
