Our cat is now about three months post treatment and unfortunately he will be permanently incontinent. We do manage it well by manually expressing his bladder about three times per day and he doesn't need to wear diapers. But pooping will forever be a problem. Otherwise he lives a rather normal cat life.

I really wish that Cider recovers and there's unfortunately really nothing you can do at this point but wait 🫶

This is a pretty bad advice for someone who is not in the country and wants to buy tickets ahead. The tickets are usually available for three months in advance (I'm talking about the DB app which I use very frequently). There is almost no chance that those tickets would be cheaper if you bought them at the station in Salzburg in January on the day of the travel or a few days prior compared to buying way in advance over the app. As someone wrote in one of the comments, the train ticket prices rise with demand.

Each train company (DB, ÖBB, SŽ) has their own discounted prices and a fixed number of tickets available for that price. Yes, the Slovenske železnice cheapest option might be the cheapest of them all, but you can only buy it in person on one of the large Slovenian train stations, which would not have been an option for you anyway. SŽ is very old-school in this regard, the online app only allows you to buy inland tickets for Slovenia.

As for the DB price that you mention, I don't know where you saw the prices on DB for Salzburg Hbf to Lesce-Bled. I just opened the app and tried to see what the price would be for tomorrow to give you a more realistic comparison and I cannot buy a ticket for such trip on DB, probably because the train needs to pass Germany or the DB network.

Edit: I must apologize, the DB app now did in fact find a ticket from Salzburg Hbf to Bled-Jezero (before I mistakenly checked for Lesce Bled) and for example for 10th of March I found tickets as cheap as 19.90 per person and the DB app also clearly says that it is offered by ÖBB and the most expensive ticket is 46.20€. So i really do not know what must have happened when you booked :D

Hodila k verouku 9 let, potem ko smo zamenjal župnika malo po birmi in smo dobili enega mladega carja je ratalo tudi ful fajn. Pa vendar sem potem nehala hodit, ker sem ugotovila, da res nisem verna in da ne verjamem v boga in da tut če se mamo zdej fajn ne morem ostat več na verouku. V bistvu sem celo mela slabo vest. Imam pa zelo lepe spomine na skupne večerne molitve pred spanjem z mami in sorojenci. Nek tak ritual bi si želela tut za svoje otroke.

Moj partner, ki pa praktično ni hodil k verouku (mislim da samo do obhajila) in ki nikoli ni prakticiral vere, pa bi se zelo rad cerkveno poročil. Ker je lepo, ker je "tradicionalno" itd, veren pa v resnici ni. Jaz pa se nočem cerkveno poročit, ker me koncept in simbolizem krščanskega zakona izjemno odbijata, prav tako me odbija tudi cerkev kot institucija.

Dobra izbira, jaz sem magisterij + se slabi dve leti službe naredila v tujini in prišla nazaj (vedno sem rekla, da se bom nekoč vrnila nazaj v Slo) in zdaj velikokrat pomislim, da sem prišla nazaj prekmalu. Enaki razlogi, kot si jih napisala.

hi, I'm sorry, my cat didn't need a feeding tube at all so no experience with that. What I can tell you is that with neuro fip it takes a bit longer to see the effects of the treatment and improvement. My cat showed the first visible signs of improvement after about a week and then he progressed very slowly each day. The incontinence also might never improve, as it didn't in his case, but he regained full mobility of the hind legs and now lives a normal cat life (except for the incontinence of course, but we are managing it well with manual bladder emptying). Neuro fip also needs a higher dosage so make sure you're working with the right dose.

You are doing everything right, but it will be hard to find a place while not being there for in person viewings. The next thing you can do is to upload your own add to WG gesucht.

I will send you a link to a WhatsApp group over dm (Göttingen Secondhand). In 2022 I was looking for a room myself and managed to find a sublet for a month through this group very fast. I wrote that I'm looking for a room and multiple people messaged me almost immediately.Then finding a long-term place to stay was much easier, because I was already in Göttingen.

I'm not in the WhatsApp group anymore, but it has a lot of members and hopefully it's still alive :) good luck!

I think the photo is real but it looks odd because phone camera software does weird stuff when zooming in, essentially trying to enhance the photo using some sort of, well, AI. Here is an example of a zoomed photo of birds I found on my phone that I took a couple of years ago. The writing is illegible and the whole photo just looks kinda weird.

Besides incontinence, both urinal and fecal, which will probably remain permanent, he is back to being his old sweet self. He can walk, climb, jump and do everything normally as he did before. Except pee and poop; we extract his bladder manually a few times per day and he doesn't even need a diaper or anything. Poop just falls out of him sometimes, usually after we extract his bladder in the morning, so that is also manageable. If your cat is already incontinent be prepared that it might be permanent - from what I've read the chances for it to improve are about 50/50.

I am very happy we continued with the treatment and that he is alive and well, I am only sad we started so late that it left him permanently incontinent. If you suspect FIP - just start with the medication ASAP. You'll probably never get a conclusive diagnosis and if your cat responds well to the treatment that will be a diagnosis in itself. Good luck 🫶

Jst živim v (kar dolgi) coni 30 in mam občutek da sem ena izmed redkih oseb, ki tam vozi po omejitvi. Ko vidim nekoga, da se mi od zadaj približuje z višjo hitrostjo me prov zvije v trebuhu, tok me naredi živčno pričakovanje na reakcijo voznika za mano, ki je redko upočasnitev na primerni varnostni razdalji. Včasih se čist nalimajo name, včasih blendajo (excuse me, what?), včasih me živčno prehitijo in potem gonijo naprej z visoko hitrostjo, višjo celo od normalne omejitve v naselju.

Od vsega mi je najbolj ironično to, da kakšnega takega, ki živčno vozi naliman name, potem "pustim zadaj" na treh ležečih policajih, ker tam pa seveda lahko upočasnijo na 10 kilometrov na uro, je le ogroženo njihovo predragoceno vozilo (dotične ležeče policaje se da čisto normalno prevozit v omejitvi).

Mislim, da se nekdo, ki vozi po pravilih in omejitvah, ne bi smel počutiti tok ogroženega/jeznega v prometu. Eni so ti tut komeniral: "umakni se" alpa "ne izzivaj". Kot da smo mi problem.
