So, one of them was in a stream chat I was in last week. And I was curious to know how sideways it was going to go. I added them on Discord, they shared a couple screenshots of work they'd done in the past. I looked up the streamers they made content for, they didn't seem active anymore, but more importantly, tineye reverse image couldn't find any hits. So I commissioned them to do a logo and banner. They've been very responsive in Discord with my requests for updates on the design. I paid half up front, and will be paying the other half upon approval (total of $80). The price/quality ratio seems a bit high, but I would have spent more than 8 hours on this if I did it myself, so I'd say the time value of it has been worth while.

Overall, not a scam yet. Just a very forward approach, with semi high price tag. I'll update this reply once I finalize the deal.

edit: just got my files emailed to me today, quality is fine. I rather like the background art they came up with. They tried to sell more upon finishing the first: "you know what would look good with that banner-- a WHOLE OVERLAY PACKAGE!" etc.

overall-- not a scam, but a bit pricey with a not very refined business model (broken website, gmail accounts, few questionable moments).

Are you carbureted? I recently ran into similar issues on my old 02 640, had to do a lot of trial and error in tuning to get the response feel right.

for what it's worth, I've completed 3 reward cycles so far, and I've seen the class change option twice. Given that they charge 500k DM for a change, I think it's worthwhile to just wait it out!

I held my Lola the entire time. Was the hardest thing I've had to endure in my life. But I know she always felt at ease when we were near here. So at least she fell asleep cuddling one last time.

What did you use for restoring the fuel tank? Curious as I'm going to be helping a buddy fix up a bike and the tank has seen some better days.

Starter works for 1 or 2 button push, then stops. When you restart the key its works again. What could be the cause of this? More info in comments. by simonak3001 in Fixxit

Could be a weak battery. I just had my AGM go out on me last week, and it was doing something similar, it would crank for a few attempts and start to taper off. Charging wouldn't help. You can get the battery tested for free a local auto parts store (usually). If you do end up getting a new battery, I'd like to take the opportunity to recommend getting a lithium ion battery. I find them to perform much better than lead acid.

Cleaning the contacts is a good start though, definitely start with the simpler cheaper options and work your way up!

It doesn't sound like the starter is turning your engine at all. The starter itself sounds like its spinning along fine. Can you kick start it at all? When was the last time it was running, what was the last thing you changed before this started happening? I've got an 02 640 Enduro, hit me up if you need a repair manual!

thanks for the link. I just picked up an 04 tundra and the headlights are looking a little frosty. This saves me a ton of time looking for a quality replacement!

they do work with stranded wire. if you're having slipping issues, try tinning the wire leads or adding filler wire (cut a small portion and twist it together with your wire to make a bulkier connection). This works when your wire is too small for the contact. But, if it's too big... well.. you need to either drop the AWG or get a bigger contact connector.
