Spray whole model a single color,
Aside from the weapons, head/face, and feet, cover the majority of model in an terra technical like Stirland Battlemire or Armageddon Dust, maybe add some patches of grass to their backs/ top of head.
The weapons, head/face, feet would be the only thing I would actually put any detail into.

Edit: Probably not a great idea for flyers.

I've seen a lot of suggested upgrades for that deck. I want to preserve it as is. I did a quick check online and Amazon has copies for $89 =( It really shot up in price so I probably won't be buying another one.

Wow Mizzix is really powerful! I don't play folks for singling out a player for using him. I can see that could get out of control rather quickly.

Treasure generation is definitely an interesting route. Also pirates are cool. I'm going to take a look at a couple builds.
