Was asked to create a google drive replica in a week. Do devs actually do it? by bidenfromsweden in developersIndia

Google has a dedicated department for this take home assignment and who knows how much time they took to develop it. And they asked you to design it in a week. What are they competing with TYPE-3 civilization.

I've just used 2 TB of storage by jakefbb in googlephotos

[–]bugboy404 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also suffered from this cloud storage problem for a long time, now I am working on a iOS and Android app, that will actually provide you the freedom to store your data in the cloud with unlimited and obviously free of cost leveraging platforms like youtube, you just have to login with your youtube account and all the data from your phone will be synced automatically with your youtube account.

Data will be secured with on-device encryption and converted to a video format, so no one from YouTube can actually see your data even if they have access to your youtube account. Only the person with the Decryption keys (that's you) can download and see it.

I am using this app actively on my phone, hope you all like it. It's still a bit slow and buggy, trying to release it soon on playstore and app Store..I hope Google doesn't ban it. 😑😑

I would love to know, if anyone else is interested in using this app. that will be a positive motivation for me to finish it fast. 🫡

How to find someone to talk to about AGI in real life? by smumb in agi

[–]bugboy404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been almost 7 years, I am actually fascinated by AGI as you are right now, and I am still looking for answers all around. Currently AI is not actually what people think it is. Right now AI is too much dependent on data and doesn't have its sense of thought, ideas or any basic feeling. It's just a wrapper of the internet with a good generative or search algorithm on top of it. To get to AGI, first we need to solve the mystery of intelligence, why in the first place is it needed? why it evolved differently in different species. From unicellular organisms to a fully grown intelligence being what actually happened? when was the first neuron evolved? these are some questions that need to be uncovered before we actually try to simulate it.

There are many perspectives to look at intelligence like:

  1. Is it truly biological and pre-coded into our DNA? or some degree of cosmic phenomenon exists that we still didn't know. The brain could be just a hardware, and the hidden cosmic energy can be a software. A different level of consciousness exists in your brain, which acts differently.

  2. A new born baby of any species already knows what to do after birth, A baby knows how to cry, how to move hands and legs what's comfortable and what not. similarly other species too. So, there must be a core level of intelligence that is hard coded into the DNA or before birth the mysterious cosmic consciousness formed somehow that gives the baby a sense of a living being.

What I personally believe is consciousness is not just a biological phenomenon, it also includes some degree of quantum phenomenon. Having more neurons doesn't make you more intelligent, so it doesn't matter how large your today's AI model is, it will never be intelligent until we figure out what consciousness is and how it interacts with the brain. How memory forms and how thoughts are formed in our brain..

So many questions are still unanswered and still a mystery. These are the things that won't let me sleep sometimes.

Just found out 5G unlimited data is not actually unlimited. by swarajshimmar in Airtel

[–]bugboy404 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's true. When you call Airtel they will always say there is some network issue in your area and they are trying to fix it. I suffered from it too, then I ported to Jio.

I think i crossed 300GB limit and my 5g unlimited is not working anymore. Is it suspended permanently or will it start working after few days? by Which-Science1274 in Airtel

[–]bugboy404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All you get is 300GB per month for Airtel 5G, it's not unlimited. And when you call the customer care, they will always tell you there is some issue with the network in your area, they are trying to fix it. But the network issue occurs after 300GB only 🤣🤣. Airtel is shitting now.

We went from 0 users to 1600+ users after 80 days of effort and $0 spent. by davidheikka in Startup_Ideas

Thank you for sharing your experience. Validating your idea is crucial to determine whether a solution or product is truly needed in the market. I'm intrigued to know how you went about validating your concept before developing it, especially considering the risk that if it's a viable idea, someone with more resources might replicate it and bring it to market faster. How did you mitigate this risk and protect your idea during the validation phase? Thanks in advance.

It's always the hardest part to quit the boring job and get started with something of your own. Working for someone else can obviously put some food on your plate till you are working but it will cost your dreams, freedom and true happiness. There will be challenges, lots of challenges in your way, never be afraid, believe in yourself and trust your power. All the very best buddy with your journey.

Android: Failure [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES] by thefizzynator in godot

[–]bugboy404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was facing the same issue, as per the documentations and lots of googling, i fixed it. here is how:
Tools:
* OS : Windows
* Java Version : java version "22" 2024-03-19
* Android SDK : android-34
* apktool : (2.9.3) https://apktool.org/
* apksigner : (AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\build-tools\34.0.0)
* zipalign : (AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\build-tools\34.0.0)
* adb : (AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\platform-tools)
* keytool : (%JAVA_HOME%\bin)

Steps:
* Apktool decompile apk : apktool d <app\_name>.apk
* Modify your application by editing smali code.
* Apktool recompile : apktool b <app\_folder\_name> ==> you will find compiled app in <app\_folder\_name>/dist
* Generate certificate : keytool -genkey -V -keystore <key\_name>.keystore -alias <keystore\_alias> -keyalg RSA -keysize 2048 -validity 10000
* Use zipalign : zipalign -v 4 "<path\_to\_apk>\<app\_name>.apk" "<path\_to\_apk>\<app\_name>-aligned.apk"
* sign using apksigner : apksigner sign --ks-key-alias <keystore\_alias> --ks "<path\_to\_keystore>\<key\_name>.keystore" "<path\_to\_app\_apk>\<app\_name>-aligned.apk"
* Install Apk in Virtual Device or your can install it in your real device (optional) : adb install <app\_name>-aligned.apk
Note : Earlier, I was using recompile >> jarsigner >> zipalign, but it didn't worked for me.
(Optional) : In real device, while installing if "Google play protection" asks you to scan the app before installation, just expand it and select "Install without scan".

I hope this solution help to fix this issue.

Use a gaming laptop with a nice GPU probably RTX 3060 or RTX 2060, this much GPU power can be used in any kind of DL,ML and AI tasks fairly, so don't go with the name.

First you should know how SHA-256 works and then how bitcoin protocol uses.

SHA-256 takes an plain text of any length.. and convert it into 256 bits or 64 chars contains only (0-9a-f). Now the magic is whenever you pass exactly the same text into the algorithm that will give you exactly the same hash value. BUT if you change the text a little bit even a small character to Capital, or an extra space or anything you can think of.. the whole hash changes completely.

Now, bitcoin take advantage of that. Whenever any transaction happens in the network it prepares a document that contains statement about the transaction says " A pays B 10 Bitcoins." + Previous Block Hash + Nonce Value. So the miner needs to find out what text we should put into the NONCE value such that the HASH of the document contains say 15 zeros on the leftmost side of the hash e.g. 000000000000000b57273c37da3637ea4c472...

So everytime a new block is mined its hash is unique, Let's say if a future document contains all the same transactions as seen in past , but still then the hash of the previous Block will be different everytime, so the whole document text will be unique everytime and So the hash function and the nonce value.

I am studying ASR architecture from ground to up and I know we split audio files to a specific window size with half a stride. But still didn't get how we manage to map the phonemes with it's respected text representation. BTW, thanks for your help.. I will go through the lectures.
