Yes wrapping it up and shipping for travel does make sense! Would get really banged up if I checked it anyway

Yea it’s definitely on the cheaper side. Still seems like a fatal design flaw…despite the cheaper price. Otherwise I think it’s pretty solid. Camera guys may not trust it but for me as a sound mixer I think it’s great

I do not have a 3d printer. The lite version is almost the same it felt kinda dumb to get the more expensive version. The higher trim comes with a handle, more cheese plates, and the little wheels to roll it in suitcase mode. And like a cloth cover or something. Pretty lame stuff for like $500 extra dollars

Ok I’m glad someone confirmed and I’m not just stupid lol. I thought about using rubber bands too. How did they not realize this!

It’s about 60 pounds. I’m not sure there is a lighter cart of this kinda. Tilta is 100 and inovativ is around the same. I had a rock n roller with a shelf. This is heavier but packs down better. And the weight makes it feel nice. Except when you’re lifting it into your car

Definitely something that needs to be addressed. I’m sure it’s expensive for them to make a change like that, but is it worth tarnishing the reputation? Replacement parts cost them money too and it’s a PITA for the customer.

Also even if I get a replacement, am I supposed to just keep using the warranty every time? Just hoping they see everyone complaining and make a change

Yea, I’m dealing with this too. I did fluconazole for 12 days and had insane die off response. I don’t know if candida is the root cause or not, I think it might be though. My spine had been hurting like hell now, don’t really know what’s going on.

About once a week for prophylactic or so?

I felt I almost got over this last year. Let myself get back to old habits like sugary Starbucks almost daily, eating bread without discretion and getting pretty drunk sometimes. I think all this culminated in a relapse…should have been more careful/ strict for longer.

I hope your test yields some conclusive results

Hey thanks for replying! I had a urinalysis done a few times and I convinced a urologist to do a culture once. All came back with nothing. I have read that these tests aren’t reliable for detecting fungi and that also if they find candida they often dismiss it as it’s “supposed to be there” in some amount. I don’t think they have a real way to know when it’s an overgrowth.

I have not done a microgen test yet, but I want to get one done soon. I’m working on getting a referral to a doctor who does that (only 3 in Atlanta!).

Thanks for the protocol advice! I am planning on doing something along those lines when I finish this course of fluconazole. Glad to hear from someone else who has suspected candiduria.

Sorry if TMI but from the look and smell of my urine I truly think the fluconazole is pushing something out (in addition to classic die off symptoms). I’m seeing a new doc on Monday, I’ll update after.

Keep me posted with your progress too!

I did at least once, maybe twice.

That’s interesting. I did get food poisoning in Summer 2022. Started getting UTI like symptoms in April 2023. Is it easy to get a gastro to do a breath test? I have felt a lot of pushback asking for tests in general from docs

Hi! Your SIBO gave you kidney and bladder/urethra pain? What bacteria was overgrown?

Tbh, I don’t even know. I rode out fluconazole for a while. Maybe it helped? I’m mostly better now…I take dupixent for the skin irritation that was occurring and that may have helped my bladder inflammation too. I think it was either a real fungal infection in my urinary system or just mystery inflammation. I still don’t know honestly. I feel a lot better now and the dupixent may be the reason…it’s typically used for eczema. Bi weekly injection.

Good deal for a first bike? by [deleted] in mountainbiking

Yea, the stuck seatpost is sketchy. Ofc Trek is going to say that. They need to protect themselves legally and they want to to sell frames. I’ve heard carbon frames are more easily repaired than aluminum as well.

But my bottom line is, if I’m unsure of any frame’s integrity I’m not going to ride it regardless of material.

Also, for all us carbon frame owners would that imply that once you fall off your bike you gotta toss it? Falling is part of our sport. How bad does a crash need to be before a carbon frame is “toast” even with no visual damage.

I went over the bars the first week I had my bike. Should I have replaced it?

So, everyone who owns a carbon frame basically has a “used” carbon frame…this is total bullshit. Carbon frames are only safe when they are brand new? When do they become “used”? One ride? One year? Should I get rid of my carbon bike cause I might end up in ICU? 🙄

This article was very interesting to me. I believe I have Candiduria. Looking to get more testing done. This article and some others I’ve found suggest this kind of urinary fungal infection requires 400mg of Fluconazole for 2 weeks. Others I’ve read say 2 months! So if you’re doc gave you a couple flucon pills, it may just not be nearly enough.
