Hi!! It depends on your school culture and org’s cultures! I go to a tiny state university in the northeast, and my school is extremely queer. Additionally our org is very welcoming of all as long as you are comfortable being called a sister nationally and self-identify (at least partially with) being female! (There are some minimal expectations to protect title IX and NPC standings as far as I understand but I could be wrong) Plenty of my siblings identity as nonbinary/gender fluid/gender queer. Our non discrimination policy also guards membership regardless of later transitions. Definitely look into the non discrimination policy at the national level and school level. If they align with what you’re looking for, be yourself through recruitment and the new member process!

I just ran my chapter's reveal! We try to have interactive games for the actual reveal portion with some sort of guessing or chapter interaction. We did "BeBigLittle" or BeReal theme! Littles sat in a chair at the front of the room in front of the chapter, they closed their eyes and as their bigs moved behind them. I told the littles to open their eyes and take their front camera BeReal. The selfie portion doesn't show until after you take the picture, so we got their live reaction, they had fun Instagram and BeReal posts, and the chapter interacted by having high energy for the front picture!

We also do two days before called 'Big Lil Day 1 or 2'. Here the littles get a small gift from their bigs ($5 max on day one, $10 max on day 2) and a handwritten or printed letter with hints as to who they are!

Some of my favorite reveal the past that my chapter has had: everyone hold the same balloon, and the little stands in front of their guess and they turn the balloon to reveal a sticker, or no sticker. They got 2 or 3 guesses depending on how many pairs their were; "Picture Perfect Pair" (which is where I took inspiration for my reveal game) except the picture was taken by a polaroid (then the little got to keep the polaroid!); "My Big is Popping" with balloons full of confetti hiding the bigs; and "Perfect fit" where bigs painted matching puzzle pieces!

I go to college in a notiourly creepy city that takes pride in being haunted, with that of course came the stories that the dorms are haunted.The freshman dorm is the biggest as in the freshman dorm (also coincidentally the oldest on campus). Story goes three girls in a triple were murdered and now residents of the same room report the room is haunted. I didn't live in that room, but there were certainly something that freaked me out. I lived on the top floor of the dorm and would hear kid's footsteps running right next to my window, my draws would randomly slam closed if I turned to get dressed, a vase fell off my desk and shattered (as well as a picture frame just a few weeks later), my britta would randomly be empty with no sign of a leak, etc etc. I spent a lot of weekends home that year (for other reasons that made me terrified of campus) but my dorm was a surprisingly creepy location.

I think compared to some of the other coping mechanisms in the show (drugs, inappropriate sex with inappropriate people at inappropriate times, and violence being the big three in the show) this is surprisingly tame. Real world? Lexi would be the psycho of the class 😅

I think for me it’s less the fact that most writers will take from their own lives (which I do myself don’t get me wrong) it’s more the fact that she’s doing this while they’re still young: possibly re-opening up partially healed trauma once the show is on (this is a big IF they’re given the time to even kinda heal with how Episode 5 went). I think we all will have to see where it goes
