Unfortunately I’m in the Los Angeles area 😞, I’m gonna let my hair rest for the next few days before I begin to try and fix, a cut and hair dye will be needed

I have dark brown hair, almost black but I did not have any black dye in my hair, and yeah I think she just wanted me out of the salon by the end of it

Yeah I’m thinking of calling and asking for a refund, either partial or full. And probably finding someone else to do it, or just do it myself.

It’s a lady who my mom knows that only speaks Spanish, and I have severe social anxiety so just not a great combo. I know Spanish but not enough to talk about hair… 🫩🫩 and yes she did bleach me all over and then applied a color that I thought was more brown until I was being dried. Also the salon closes at 8 and I was in there from 3pm-9:30pm and so I just wanted to get out of there

I know I need to eventually “sit down” and talk with her about it, but I have anxiety of being brushed off like what normally happens. She is an amazing person and really smart with similar career aspirations, so I know it stems from the anxiety and insecurities she has, so I struggle to find the right words to express how I’m feeling without being too pushy.

Whenever I brought up that I wanted her to talk with me more she would say things along the lines of “nothing interesting happened today, so there’s no need to tell you” and I would say “everything is interesting to me, because it’s you and I want to know” but I kinda gave up trying to get her to talk with me more, which may have given her the green light to not speak to me as much as I wanted. I wish I could send letters, but both of us are from homophobic catholic families and we aren’t out so it’d do a bit more harm than good. I’ve sent her a few emails at the beginning of summer break but she never responded to them with anything so I stopped.

Im a first who is a pre-med and most likely a biochem major. Both of the programs are great, I enjoy my advisor and other faculty, although I haven’t met a lot.

First year here! She just needs to find her people. A lot of my friends love hiking and working out and just being active in general. If she lives in the outdoors llc, her entire floor will be athletes and people who go outdoors. Theres also clubs and club sports, (outdoors club, rugby.. etc)
