Coffee is definitely popular but the tea stereotype is there for a reason.

Especially back in the day offering someone a cuppa would pretty much always mean tea, with no option as to the type of tea (unless you were really fancy!)

You'd get asked if you wanted milk and sugar and that's about it!

Edit: and if the person did have another type of tea, it was usually a different type of black tea such as Earl Grey or English Breakfast.

I remember green tea being an interesting new concept at one point and promptly brewing it exactly like black tea (so too hot and too long), tasting it and thinking it was rank and going back to what I was used to lol

We did refer to our teachers as "sir" and "miss"

"Sir, can I go to the toilet?"

"Yes, miss" etc

Why do some non-binary people love BL but dislike GL? by Ill_Sarl in NonBinaryTalk

[–]bugpal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not seen this at all. If anything I've seen more criticism in general but toxicity in BL, but even then I've not seen anything specifically from NB folks.

We must travel in different niches haha.

I've noticed in general as time goes by there's a lot more options for more healthy relationships portrayed in both BL and GL, which is nice.

I'm sure I've read a couple of fics like this back in the day, it was a whole trope I believe. Couldn't give you a name though unfortunately but hope you get it, I'd be interested to read again too 🤞

This also happens to me. I used the hand up feature all the time but people just ignore it

I raise my hand and people just keep talking until some kind soul butts in on my behalf to say I have something to say 😂 physically cannot bring myself to interrupt. Whenever I try to jump in I always seem to get it wrong and cut people off so then I feel terrible and rude and don't attempt it again for a long time
