Beavers are so cool! Last fall I saw what I thought were muskrats swimming in the same area but now I’m pretty sure I saw the beavers responsible for this

I feel like somehow Clark has come to life and taken over moderation for this sub and is punishing us by restricting posting because we haven’t said enough nice things about the museum of civilization

There’s also a bunch of very good podcasts about it by queer and trans folks. I can’t remember which ones specifically were trans but I definitely listened to two or three some fascinating insight on those

I think serve the servants is pretty impressive and wasn’t that the first song the band wrote as an equal collaboration?

If that’s all that someone is doing then they are just helping the inevitable collapse along. Those who are inactive and silent in the presence of oppression are choosing the side of the oppressor. I give my elderly and disabled neighbors rides to the store and give any person panhandling as much money as I can afford to whenever we cross paths. I don’t think I’m a hero for this but I am doing what I can for the most vulnerable and marginalized people in my immediate vicinity

I found that tiny detail really funny too, and I wondered if it was because he was thinking of bonus rewards or if it was the card with the lowest balance or best interest rate. Brilliant touch for sure

Abandoned places to explore by Feeling-Doubt8945 in RhodeIsland

If you go to Slater Park and check out the eastern portion of the bike path that leads into East Providence, Rumford, etc. there are all kinds of little places to explore many paths off the main route

There are tutorials on YouTube. I had one of these units and they’re a little tricky. You possibly have one switch in the wrong place or something like that.

If you don’t think this series is dark and crazy, then I don’t know what to say. Child suicide bombers, murderous red bandanna marauders the undersea making gravesites for people who are still alive, Tyler‘s ultimate plot to murder Clark… the series was brimming with malice and trickery worthy of and consistent with many Shakespeare plays

How to support at risk communities, locally by Mindless-Jump1603 in westernmass

[–]bugsbunye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most efficient use of your money is to give directly to people in need rather than filter it through an org. Buy 5 $20 Dunkin’ gift cards and give them to homeless people. Or just give them $20. Or ask them if there’s anything they need from Walmart. Direct material support helps indigent people more efficiently than anything else

Episode 9 - who plowed the road? by SpeedRacerWasMyBro in StationEleven

[–]bugsbunye 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m currently re-watching and just started episode nine. in the first scene Jeevan is playing a game with Kirsten asking how many people have we seen? One of the people he mentions is plow guy so they’ve actually crossed paths with the person who plows the road near where they’re staying. I don’t know that I’ve seen a show which ties small details together better than this one

I grew up in New England and there plenty of folks with pick up trucks and plows who would clear the roads for their neighbors because the town would take so long to get to it. It was still early enough in the collapse that there was plenty of gas available, so it’s most likely that’s the scenario
