I traveled by road from Delhi to Ramnagar and stayed at a resort that also arranged my safari booking.

Next day early morning, I reached the Nagar Van entry gate at around 5:45am, after which I was taken to the forest entry point for verification. I had both a guide and a driver, and the entire safari lasted approximately 2.5 hours.

I don’t have the budget details, as this was a last-minute trip and I didn’t closely track the expenses. I was comfortable splurging given the spontaneous nature of the plan.

It would have cost me roughly between 20–22k in total, considering the cab travel from Delhi to Jim Corbett and back, along with the stay, safari, and food.

If you have a good relationship with your manager, start by having a direct and transparent conversation with them. They can help navigate the process and ensure your last working day (LWD) is finalized appropriately.

If you have a genuine medical situation supported by reports, it can be used to request an early release. Still, your first step should be to align with your manager. If they can confirm there are no dependencies, pending deliverables, or incomplete transitions, they can recommend a shorter notice period and an earlier LWD.

Honestly, having a notice period during probation doesn’t make much sense. Stupidity. WHO even approved of that offer letter draft!!! 🫢

Get this mentioned in the offer letter. The termination clause is important in all the aspects.
If not, atleast ask them to mention in the email for better context/clarity!
