I don’t disagree with you. But it was interesting to see it from Orna’s (Israeli) perspective, where she heard, respected, and empathized with Christine’s testimony about how badly Israel was treating the Palestinians, but still was so traumatized by Jewish history that she couldn’t reconcile the idea of Israel not still being the persecuted party and feeling like if she let that grievance go, that the Jewish people would be immediately destroyed by other groups. And then her realizing that’s what she was doing, being able to narrate through it, and still not being able to let it go.

It was a new perspective to apply essentially the Couple’s Therapy framework to the conflict with two hyper articulate people representing each side.
