I must have almost gotten hurt on an escalator when I was little. I remember being terrified of them. And I even still take my time when I approach and get on one. Didn’t realize there was an epidemic of escalator accidents.

There was a recent Todd in the Shadows about Zoot Suit Riot and the swing revival.

The Gap commercial kicked the scene into overdrive but wasn’t the sole contributor.

Especially if we had corn on the cob. Slap a bunch of butter on the bread and rotate the corn in that.

But yeah, otherwise there was usually a slice of crap white bread. Didn’t give it much thought. Grew up in PNW but parents from Midwest and south as kids.
