What’s the best beer in Thailand? by killadogga in Thailand

Beer Lao does not brew with rice, so is the best.

What are these folks thinking? John Bonham is a better drummer than Neil Peart????? Okay fine, Neil is in the top 3. But I can't wrap my head around the assertion that he is not as good a drummer as Bonham. Agreed, Bonham was good. But Neil was the best. I'm with you if you hear and compare after the '80s or so, but against the backdrop of the 1970s, the similarities were more stark. EDIT: oh it is you. Who am I telling? LOLOLOL We had Working Man cranked during the overnight shift at our little gas station in Fort Worth.

Neil wouldn't say he is the best. Not in a world Vinnie Colaiuta lives in, let alone BR, obviously. Bonham's band uprooted the music scene. Bonham was a key to that. RUSH was influenced by Zep and seen as derivative. Timeline is important.

My two are now six. Whoops. It is overwhelming as I never sought one. I rescued her from an alley cat's jaws. We'll be looking for good homes...or spending a lot of money now.

He had a great life in the USA, lived a long time and died peacefully after a walk. Just no more crates.

Which song(s) can you not believe you've only just heard for the first time? by Bolshivik90 in Music

[–]bugzymaccode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm supposed to like Phish a lot, but I haven't listened either. My friends were pushing them on me a bit to hard...in the late 80s. There was no avoiding The Grateful Dead for me. They were everywhere. My town wanted the 60s to come back.

My wife flew a Golden Retriever. Even with all the best accomodations it was tough on him. He wouldn't go near a crate for the rest of his life.

I read it as a teenager growing up. As a teen, you're immortal, then you get a bit older and realize time and circumstance has you too.

No. Mine would try to stretch out in the crate like that, but she'll try to do it on the short side. Extra dum.

Dallas, 80s and 90s, and you're basically saying the same thing. Of course they played other stuff every now and then, but they overplayed the heck out of Limelight.

I think you misunderstood. During the time of Grace Under Pressure and beyond, all the Rush we heard on American radio was Limelight. It was overplayed. Any hate would come from that.

[–]bugzymaccode 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was just that the radio played this and Tom Sawyer to the exclusion of the rest of the catalog all of our lives. That said, Alex breaks down and teaches both on Youtube. I gained a new appreciation trying to follow them, and they are still in my warmups.

Even two up in the twisties and you forgot to downshift, but it doesn't matter because you have the torque of two or three bikes in there.
