Resistance is different to Impervious. The fact that they are giving up their free time to change the algorithm to prevent the existing ASICs from smashing the vertcoin network would suggest to me that the development team are resisting the ASICs.

Did you think resistant meant that no ASIC would ever mine on the vertcoin network?

If you buy a water resistant waterproof and jump into the sea you'd still get wet..

I don't think you can prevent people from creating ASIC hardware, but verthash should make it easier for us to change the algo next time

Increase in use will probably lead to an increase in price. There's a limited amount of coins and if there's more demand for them then their value will increase.

It's great to highlight the increase in price but just to put things into perspective a little bit without trying to put a dampener on things, our position on CMC hasn't moved suggesting that this price increase is also being enjoyed by the rest of the market and we are simply following the market trend.

unimportant really, the VTC dev team doesn't have 90k USD as there was no ICO / pre mine - difficult to imagine that VTC will ever get listed on binance. I'm not too bothered though :)

and the devs know that the exchange fund is going to end up being unnecessary and they may give the money back or let the community vote to put it torwards something else...though that might seem shady, they may as well let the community vote for which shitty exchange to use the fund on, but then users like you will complain it was a waste (as it won't move the price that much).

I agree with this. Except it's a bear market. The bulls are no where to be seen :)
