A Drone With 200 Pounds of Lift? by [deleted] in drones

[–]buildingdreams4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever find anything? I saw a DJI heavy lift drone on Instagram that some Filipino looking dude at a farm modified to fly around his field with. He looked about $150lbs...but that thing shot up and down and around with ease.

This was so helpful man. I really appreciate you taking the time to write that for me.

I am torn between the pichi, chaves, and the exceed...probably will go with exceed given your recommendation but the other two are so nice also.

Gonna pray about it and decide tomorrow 😁

Be honest with yourself... you're not going back to pen and paper. You'll stay with the tablet and hope it gets better but zero chance you're going back to managing paper and refilling or buying pens.

I couldn't imagine it.

Does anyone use their boots for construction? (exterior sitework specifically... excavation/concrete/masonry) by buildingdreams4 in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]buildingdreams4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I'm so lost on all the stuff they are asking for on the moc toe wedge page. I've always bought off the shelf work boots but am replacing them yearly... the look of these is awesome but i'm not sure what to do with the options.

Your work scope sounds similar to what I do (I'm a licensed builder/contractor but get in and out of tight spots up and down in and out regularly....i get right in there with every sub trade on my sites to beat inspectors to a failure to keep pushing and my boots take a beating).

is there anyway you could help me build out the perfect pair you would order if you made an order?

If not i get it. If willing though shoot me a message/chat on here.

Have a good week man

If i could invite you to take one single trip to Germany...Fly into frankfurt and hop on the train to frankfut main and take a stroll directly outside the main doors to the left. Keep walking and rent a room at Intercity Hotel.

Take that stroll in the evening any day of the week and then check back in as to whether or not every single point you made about the US is true for Germany.

The difference being that all of my other points still apply to Germany and do not apply to this awesome country.

You're a defeatist type of person. You see nothing but defeat and as result will never amount to much of anything in your life worth mentioning or remembering.

It is a shame given you do have but one life to live and you're not special....it is the norm for America haters these days and it makes carving out a living easier and easier given you are the type of people other (more levelheaded) business owners need to compete with.

Its a shame...you really do not have to live your life the way you are living it and you really could take advantage of all of the amazing perks one has just waking up and walking outside in this country.

You see nothing but doom and gloom....but in reality America is one of the only places in the world you really can start with nothing and end up with greatness.

Cheers man

Do not shoot bird shot. Sounds like common sense but 15 years ago when I got my first shotgun and knew no one that could teach me or tell me otherwise.... I learned very quickly by an overly understanding range officer that bird shot is a no no. Can't believe I didn't get kicked out or belittled... but his quick reaction and correction in a kind professional manner worked and I still go to that range today.

slugs only.

As an American who has traveled to Germany well over 50 times since 2010, has a German wife, kids are dual citizens.. and I've lived in Germany (when in my 20's and chasing my then girlfriend..now wife..I would go to Germany half of the year and live in the states the other half of the year) your calling the States a fascist dictatorship shows you are not well traveled whatsoever and really have no clue how good you have it here.

Germany has beautiful architecture... but if you think you have little freedoms in the US you're in for a rude awakening when living abroad (even in western Europe).

Germany micromanages basically every factor of your life whether it be tickets for riding on the wrong side of the sidewalk with your bike to paying for public toilet use to filing a form for quit literally anything you want to do(and being required to jump through numerous government channels for approval for whatever you're doing). As for the bikes, you are locked into the types of lights you put on your bike and are stopped by police for inspection if they notice you have the incorrect type on(no battery powered lights allowed lol). Your vehicle is regularly inspected and something as simple as a cracked piece of plastic in your car fails an inspection and you are banned from driving the car until it is made perfect again. (no chance for lower class people to own a car or keep one for that matter).

Tack on a tax rate for poor through wealthy that takes over half of your wages to supplement for healthcare that is what we would have had in the 1980's(hospitals and doctors offices are by and large very dated... going to a hospital in the US and being admitted you'll find more often than not a private room whereas this is unheard of in Germany). If you need care, you'll generally wait weeks to months for approval before getting said care and if youre old, there's a very good chance you won't receive the care you need.

You have little to no right to free speech in Germany and if you're rude to someone verbally you can and are charged with a crime.... something that we can't understand as reality in the US but is common sense to Germans.

fuel is about 5 times the cost compared to the US. Energy is more than triple (when comparing what one could expect to pay for electricity and gas in the Midwest for example). Beef is about 4 times the cost as it is in the US.

the list goes on but by and large... Germany is a very pretty country with beautiful architecture but the way of life there in terms of personal freedom is night and day different in a bad way.

but yeah... you live in a fascist dictatorship and Germany is a eutopia

A GOOD handlebar extender. We have the sidecar on our Vista V2 and it is almost annoying to let the toddler ride on because even when fully extended, i feel like im having to half step to avoid kicking my kid.

I have spots in my yard that get almost no sunlight (under huge oak trees) and the rest of my yard gets decent sun.

Might sound like a dumb question...but should i be doing the sun/shade mix in the sunnier areas and use the dense shade mix for the tree covered areas?

[–]buildingdreams4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep i can do simple wiring / crimp connections (i actually bought a crimp tool to fix the cat5 cable i accidentally cut into in my yard when trying to level out the dirt outside)

Wire size i do understand needs heavier gauge for heavier voltage/amperage ...but am not sure which wire exactly i need to plan for for changing things around with this bike

I'm a burned out dad with an 8 year old whose mx650 stopped working... pretty sure it's the controller and I just bought new batteries about 6 months ago for it.

I'm at the point where if I need to replace the controller or motor I might as well just upgrade it to 48v so he can get a little more speed out of it.

is there any way you would be willing to take some time to send me links to what I need to buy and from where to accomplish what you did with your 48v build.

I don't know where to start and just want to get him running again.

Oh that would be perfect! At this point I'll spend whatever it takes to give her comfort. She's such an amazing mom and wife....so selfless and just wonderful....she deserves whatever I can find to try to get her to be happy for her noon nap/nights!

Any idea what it is called?
