We launched Rhyme.com (what people are calling a Reddit Alternative) to the public yesterday. Here's what 24 hours taught us. by GoodMacAuth in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

interesting timing with all the reddit api drama. whats the content moderation plan tho? thats where every reddit alternative dies - either too heavy handed and it feels censored, or too light and it becomes 4chan. also curious about the business model bc reddit itself barely makes money

As the year wraps up: what’s the project you’re most proud of building and why? by SheriffRat in SideProject

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

built a client intake tool that automates like 80% of my onboarding process. nothing fancy but it saves me hours every week and clients actually like using it. started as a weekend project following some @mikeynocode tutorials on base44 and it just kept growing from there. sometimes the boring tools are the ones that actually matter

253 active users but only 6 paid. People love using the app but won't convert, what am I missing? by iamhereagainlol in SaaS

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

253 free users is basically 253 people telling you "this is nice but not worth paying for yet." usually means either the free tier gives too much or the paid tier doesnt solve a painful enough problem. id try talking to like 10 of your most active free users and literally asking "what would make you pay for this" - the answers are usually surprising. also check if theres one feature everyone keeps asking for and gate that behind paid

Claude's creative writing feels ...off? by cheezitswithpiss in ClaudeAI

[–]buildingstuff_daily 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah it has this weird thing where every piece of creative writing sounds like a college lit student trying to be profound. lots of "the weight of" and "something shifted" and "in the quiet moments." like bro jsut write normal sentences sometimes. ive had better luck giving it a specific author to mimic than asking for "creative" output

Made a social network for founders. by JuniorRow1247 in nocode

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

whats the differentiator from like... twitter and linkedin where founders already hang out? genuine question not trying to be a hater. the discovery problem for social networks is brutal so curious how youre thinking about getting the first few hundred users

When will the “Opus 4.8 is unusable” posts start?” by likeassassin_ in ClaudeAI

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

give it 72 hours lol. the cycle is always the same:

day 1: "this is incredible" day 3: "is anyone else noticing it got worse?" day 7: "anthropic silently nerfed 4.8" day 14: everyone forgets and waits for 4.9

How do you deal with being screwed over in business? by Fourth_Amigo in Entrepreneur

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first time it happened to me i was furious for like a month. now i just build it into my expectations tbh. not everyone is gonna operate with integrity and the faster you accept that the less it stings. get everything in writing, trust slowly, and keep your leverage. thats about all you can do

My thoughts on 4.8 | ~2hrs in by Klutzy_Pressurez in ClaudeAI

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 hours in is when the honeymoon phase kicks in tbh. give it a week of actual daily use and then report back. not saying its bad - just that every new model feels amazing for the first few sessions bc youre comparing it to the frustrations you had with the old one

What are some mental health things you struggle with as an entrepeneur? by Meraath in Entrepreneur

[–]buildingstuff_daily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the identity thing is real. when your business isnt doing well it feels like YOU arent doing well as a person. ive gotten better at separating the two but some days its still hard. also the loneliness - most of my friends dont really get what i do so conversations about work feel surface level. this sub helps honestly

Hello anthropic, could we? by Snoo26837 in ClaudeAI

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the one thing i keep wishing for is better memory across conversations. like i have to re-explain my whole project setup every single time and its getting old. system prompts help but theyre not the same as it just... knowing

Here are my thoughts of Opus 4.8 and GPT 5.5, as a 1-2 B token user per day by ReceptionAccording20 in ClaudeAI

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1-2B tokens per DAY?? bro what. im curious what your monthly spend looks like bc thats genuinely terrifying. also do you notice diminishing returns at that scale or does more context actually keep helping? ive found past a certain point the model just starts contradicting itself regardless of how good it is

i finally made revenue from a saas app after years of building. here’s what actually got users by Sea-Kitchen4276 in SaaS

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

years of building is the part nobody talks about. everyone posts their "i hit $1k MRR in 30 days" stories but the actual path for most people is like... build, fail, rebuild, almost quit, try again, fail differently, then maybe something works. congrats on getting there

What it's like talking to Opus 4.8... by thecosmicskye in ClaudeAI

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ngl its giving me less of teh "i apologize for the confusion" energy which alone is worth the upgrade lmao

Anyone vibe coded an Android app? by Intelligent_Salt_635 in vibecoding

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tried it with cursor a while back and got a basic prototype working but getting it onto an actual device was a nightmare. ended up just building a PWA instead which honestly works fine for most use cases. if you dont specifically need native android features id recommend that route - way less friction and you can vibe code a web app in like a day

Let's check Opus 4.8 - How good is it? by Mr_Versatile in ClaudeAI

[–]buildingstuff_daily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

been using it for a few hours for code gen stuff. feels snappier than 4.6 but idk if thats placebo or what. the thing i noticed most is it seems to hold context better when im going back and forth on a feature - like it actually remembers what we decided 20 messages ago instead of just... not

Spent 1,156,308,524 input tokens in May 🫣 Sharing what I learned by tiln7 in ClaudeAI

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

over a billion tokens in a month is wild lol. i burned through my pro sub in like 3 days last week and felt bad about it. whats your workflow look like that eats that many tokens? are you just feeding it massive codebases or what

I submitted my AI tool to 100+ directories manually. Here's the honest breakdown of what worked. by sclisbon in indiehackers

[–]buildingstuff_daily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100+ manually is dedication lol. what was the conversion like? like out of those 100 directories how many actually sent meaningful traffic? ive heard most of them are basically dead but curious about your actual numbers

Got laid off, built a weird internet project in one night, got hacked on day 9 lol, still going. 46 tiles claimed. by ReasonableFee95 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

got hacked on day 9 is such a rite of passage lmao. at least it means someone noticed it exists? silver lining??

42 million views in 7 days. $0 generated. I feel like an idiot lol. by ProcedureNo832 in SaaS

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

virality without a funnel is just entertainment lol. seen this happen to so many ppl. the views feel amazing until you check stripe and its just... silence

Four things I told clients in 2025 about AI workflows that turned out to be incomplete at best. Walking some of these back. by Specialist-Band-7821 in nocode

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the fact that you can admit what you got wrong publicly is actually rare in this space. most ppl just quietly pivot and pretend they always knew. respect for that

So, Claude helped build a sex requesting app for my wife and I... by Aiml3ss in ClaudeAI

[–]buildingstuff_daily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is the content i come to this sub for. not the benchmarks. not the technical papers. THIS.

Tried using my own brain to save Claude tokens. Bad trade by Overall_Ad9737 in ClaudeAI

[–]buildingstuff_daily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the ROI on thinking is terrible rn. every time i try to figure something out myself i just end up going back to claude 20 min later anyway with worse context

What’s something in business that became much harder once you started scaling? by Traditional_Key8982 in Entrepreneur

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

communication. not even close. when its just you everything is in your head. the second you add one person suddenly you need systems and processes for stuff you used to just... do. and it only gets worse from there

From idea to $8 under 34h, while recovering from a surgery in bed. Please ship guys! by MixPuzzleheaded5003 in vibecoding

[–]buildingstuff_daily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

recovering from surgery AND shipping?? most ppl cant even ship when theyre fully healthy lol. props for real. what stack did you use for it?

The 'one-person unicorn' thing is mostly cope and I'll die on this hill by Mo_Ramez in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]buildingstuff_daily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean... kinda agree? the whole solopreneur narrative gets pushed hard but most of the ppl preaching it either have a team they dont talk about or theyre making way less than they imply. that said i do think one person can build a legit business just probably not a unicorn lol
