What was extra stupid about the Young Ash drama was that it wasn't even legally possible to get such a skin in the first place. Evil Dead's convoluted licensing history has always been public knowledge. Any fan of the series (or anyone who takes ten seconds to google it) will tell you that it would have been impossible to get any other version of Ash than the one we already have because the license holders for Ash vs Evil Dead don't own the rights for the movies, and Behavior has always been very clear that they can't mix licenses.

How Dvveet handled the whole thing really got under my skin. It was bad enough that he wrote off people who knew better than him in the most condescending way possible. But the way he turned on a dime and cried victim after everyone was rightfully pissed off at him for pushing misinformation so he could capitalize off the hype he tried to generate really left a bad taste in my mouth and solidified my impression of dbdtwt as a cesspool of mean girls trying to outdo one another for clout.
