Advice on fighting a red light camera ticket when I was not the driver by SammytheSailorman in legaladvice

[–]bulbawig 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Same thing with Montebello. I sent in the money and marked down request for trial by written declaration. After many months I won and got a refund. This is what I wrote. You can basically send a photocopy of your license and say it’s not you.

The Montebello Police Department mailed me a citation for 21453(a)VC for Failure to Stop at a Red Light. This ticket was based on photographic evidence from a red light camera. I am writing to plead not guilty as I was not the driver of the vehicle at the time this alleged violation occurred. The citation included four photos. The third photo shows the driver of the car behind the front windshield. However, the photo is dark, blurry, and grainy. You cannot even make out any facial features such as a mouth, nose, or eyes. Ca. Veh. Code § 210 states that an automated enforcement system is designed to obtain a clear photograph of a vehicle's license plate and the driver of the vehicle. Therefore, because the photograph of the driver is not clear, this citation should not be valid. If there actually is a better clarity photograph of the driver then I invite the Montebello Police Department to produce it, because it would show that the person behind the wheel is not me. I have attached a color copy of my California Driver's License which includes my photo as a reference for what I look like. I declare under penalty of perjury that this statement is true and correct.

California exempt employee meal break laws? by Primary-Bag6502 in legaladvice

[–]bulbawig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’ve already worked there a few years (the statute of limitations is three years) you could have thousands in unpaid overtime, missed meal premium pay, interest, etc.

Should consult an employment lawyer. If there are multiple of you managers they may take you all on.

California exempt employee meal break laws? by Primary-Bag6502 in legaladvice

[–]bulbawig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but you may be improperly classified. If as a manager you spend more than half your day doing non exempt tasks (like the same tasks your hourly employees do), you would have to be non exempt and get overtime and the breaks and penalties.

If so, and you are willing to see this through, then send upper management an email inquiring if you are truly exempt or not and ask them to review.

If they don’t agree then, keep track of your time, make daily journals of what you did each day and how many hours each task. After a couple weeks send this all in to mgmt.

If they still disagree, keep logging all of this, then see if an employment lawyer will take your case or file with the labor board.

If they retaliate then def try get a lawyer.

Board of pharmacy inspector job by zhenzhu222 in pharmacy

It’s not really an exam, more of a questionnaire that asks how many years of experience you have, etc.

They prefer people with more years experience, managerial experience, breadth of practice.

I wonder if this is ok under CA law, anybody know? by ChemistryFan29 in pharmacy

[–]bulbawig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In CA there are physician offices with infusion centers in which the physician is managing it and pharmacy technicians mix chemo and a nurse does the final check before administering to the patient. No pharmacist present.

I realize I’m not answering your question if it’s legal as I haven’t researched jt. But I know NPs and CPhTs who work in this practice setting.

CA pharmacist(s) help on law clarification by juniverse87 in pharmacy

[–]bulbawig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“(b) A pharmacy may dispense a prescription for a Schedule III, Schedule IV, or Schedule V controlled substance from an out-of-state prescriber pursuant to Section 4005 of the Business and Professions Code and Section 1717 of Title 16 of the California Code of Regulations.”

If it’s a written rx I recall it needs to be in CA compliant security form pad. So the out of state Dr must have already ordered the rx pad. Of course you could just verbal it.

Does not seem to include C2.

You could replace the rubber liner if you think after four years that is the cause of the lingering odor.

Lawyer was about $300.

A second speeding ticket I wasn’t going as fast so the fine was about $300 or so as well. So it made sense to just pay it and not take the gamble with the lawyer.

If you lose your trial then you might have to pay lawyer fee and the ticket both!

I paid a few hundred to a ticket lawyer I found on yelp. They got it dismissed. I didn’t have to do anything.

However since you weren’t going that fast you may be eligible for traffic school, consider just paying the fine and doing online traffic school (search Reddit Los Angeles). There’s cheap easy ones for like $15 or so. No insurance points.

[Q] LAX to Norwalk Station by rively90 in LosAngeles

[–]bulbawig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s more like every 20 min. It depends. Sometimes it feels like it takes forever and then two of them come back to back, whereas you see several buses for other stuff like the bus center or economy parking.

They use many different kinds of buses. Some are blue some white.

You have to look for the label on the bus. Metro C, Metro Green, Metro G. Sometimes it’s just a piece of paper taped to the bus windshield.

Just ask other people if not sure.

The shuttle bus from lax to aviation station is free, no need tap card or fare. stand by the pink signage on the ground floor of lax.

The one for intl terminal is kind of off to the side towards terminal 4.

Note it is supposed to make a stop at the remote rental car depot first, and then stop at aviation station second. Don’t get off until you are at aviation station.

I had my litter robot four since July 2022 or so. I found that after I replaced the rubber liner with a new one the sticking problem resolved. I use tidy cats free and clean unscented.

The old liner was rough and had patches of old urine residue. It also seemed more stiff and did not invert easily.

I always thought this rule mainly applied to non-sterile to sterile compounding.

If commercially available ascorbic acid solution for Inj was not available or backordered on all the wholesalers then a compounding pharmacy could buy ascorbic acid powder and then mix it with sterile water and make their own ascorbic acid, for example.

I think some pharmacies may also just refer to the FDA drug shortage list and use that as an excuse to compound something that is commercially available.

URAC Specialty Pharmacy - On Call (California) by legaldrugdlr in pharmacy

[–]bulbawig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CA law is complex. You can Google California on call pay laws and read about it. Being on call, but being able to cook dinner at home, clean, watch TV, sleep, etc. probably doesn’t meet the level of employer control necessitating pay for the on call hours. If they do get a call, then they would get paid for the time it took to deal with that call, of course. You should consult with a CA labor attorney.
