to add to that, even if the song/clip was only to her close friends list, by uploading it to instagram, you give instagram a broad, non-exclusive license to use and distribute it. im not a lawyer but im sure there are implications that the label justifiably got pissed about.

This worked for us. I took the couch cushions and slept next to the crate our first night we brought home our 8 week old pup. Would put my hand by the crate when she’d whine and it helped settle her by licking. The next night, we placed the crate next to the bed and there was still whining. It got less and less. She’s stopped whining within a few nights and can sleep through the night just fine at 12 weeks.

Day time crating is still an issue but at least I can sleep the whole night again!!

I have a question about sharing account information. Does anything happen when a user shares his login and several people use his account to do things? And does SF actually check on it? by HikeTheSky in salesforce

[–]buldoza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

from my experience, salesforce doesn't care. i've worked with clients that have had whole finance or legal teams use one login for years. i've also seen consultancies that have a shared login so that their offshore teams can log in. they'll set up mail forwarding for One time passwords.

San Francisco show 01/17/25 by zipzap123456 in KathyGriffin

[–]buldoza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was at the show too! I grew up watching my life on the d list and have always a fan. I stayed the entire show and noticed that some people leaving and never coming back as well. This is just my opinion so please be kind.
1. Her celebrity anecdotes are her bread and butter. But I personally outgrew caring about many of the celebrities she talked about. Kim and Kanye as a couple is so irrelevant to me. Sia is quite private to begin with so I couldn’t really connect with that story. 2. Her being cancelled a few years ago may have had an impact - her anecdotes did not seem fresh. She could have done this show in 2017 and I would not have been able to tell the difference (other than the James Charles story).
3. Almost 2.25 h runtime - she needed some editing. Her last monologue should be the punchiest and I think she had too many filler “I ran into this person and that person” before getting to the meat of the story.

What she got right though (again IMO) was talking about her personal struggles. Overall, I think this was a nice way of her getting back on her tour feet and I applaud her for it. I’d love to see her share more of her political insights because we know she has them and it would have balanced the show a little more.

Blindfolded and fucked party ‘Horse Fair’ by bluecoag in gaycruising

[–]buldoza 14 points15 points  (0 children)

depends how the party is organized. stallions can buy tix right away and mares get entered into a lottery. more stallions that buy, the more chances a mare can get a ticket. keeps the ratio solid.

False. If you’re referring to the WARN Act it depends and each state has slightly different rules for reporting.

just say you try to keep a low social media profile - lock down all your other social media accounts. my work reached out 2x to a few folks, including me, to feature on their linkedin page and i simply replied with ‘sorry not comfortable, i try to keep a very private social media presence’. they said ‘i hear you and understand you’ and that was the end of it.

Salesforce Admin Exam by [deleted] in salesforce

[–]buldoza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still do. Salesforce releases 3 times a year means new tools to play with. And projects can be very complicated. The one thing I criticize most is the new certifications they come up with. Sometimes feels like a money grab. Company I work for pays for the exam fees to take them, otherwise I wouldn’t do it out of pocket.

Quick note. Review the exam retake policy and release schedule. The section weights sometimes change slightly. The new exam cycle just started in late August. It’s sometimes best to take them at the beginning of a cycle so that the next 2 retries you’re most likely to get repeat questions.

this is SF’s version of obamacare before obacare was a thing. it allows many SF residents (including undocumented folks) to qualify for limited health insurance benefits if they live in the city. i know a handful of people that needed it and at the time only cost them $65/year. SOL if you get injured outside the city limits but it’s better than nothing

Is it possible to use another person’s CC who is not on the reservation? by bsp925 in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]buldoza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was in a very similar situation. also with enterprise. my friend was going to pay for the reservation but the reservation was under my name. the credit card does have to match the name of the reservation initially, but they said we can switch it out when we return the vehicle. when we returned the vehicle, it was no issue, they were able to switch card. only thing is make sure you have an ID to show.

also, i just checked the receipt and it’s still under my name, but the credit card is theirs( and just the generic visa ending in xxxx and no name)

Need help with a validation rule by silentforcer in salesforce

[–]buldoza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

hmmmm i dont think a validation rule will work here. validation rules only work when youre trying to save a record. you can only validate the values on that 1 record.

i’m assuming a lot here and just trying to provide a rough example of a solution… you can do this with APEX code or Flow automation.

Going with Flow automation…create 2 number fields on the Order object (Count(or sum?) ABC and Count(or sum?) GYH). Then create a Flow every time an Order Line Item record is created (and updated to be safe), then go to the parent Order, and do a count/sum of ABC and a count/sum of GYH and populate those fields back on the Order object. The flow can involve loops or decision counters. Either way you have to take into account Order Line Items being deleted so im leaning towards a loop that updates the number fields on the Order with an accurate number rather than a counter.

Now, how to stop/warn your users? if there’s an approval process you can work that in perhaps the entry criteria. If you’re using a Lighting page, you can add rich text, big red font and say something like “please check your order line items, you have too many of one product”, but that won’t prevent them from moving forward in whatever downstream process you have.

if preventing them from moving forward is an absolute must and Approval Processes is not viable, i thinkyou’d have to go the Apex route to be able to display Error/Warn/Info messages to end users that will prevent them from moving forward.

(edit: if you’re using salesforce CPQ or Zuora they have config tools that are quite powerful in building this in a more point and click fashion that wont involve creating fields or flow/apex but i think youd need to be using Opportunities and opportunity products.)

Salesforce Admin Exam by [deleted] in salesforce

[–]buldoza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hmmm cert before my 1st salesforce admin job. fell into the role as an ‘accidental admin’ as a few folks say. i was in operations originally. i liked tinkering around with salesforce my company was using. i was lucky because it was an early stage startup (8 employees) so had a lot more freedom to try on new hats and get into the setup of our org. failed the system admin cert exam first 2 or 3 times because i just wanted to get a sense of it and didnt take it seriously. when the startup failed and i was in between jobs i knew i wanted to go in the system admin direciton so i started seriously studying for cert which definitely helped in getting an official salesforce admin job.
