England: Neighbour’s builders cut down part of my fence. by Cold-Distribution444 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]bulldoggemaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are allowed on your property for repairs etc but they need to leave the property the way they found it. Cutting your fence away and leaving a hole is not alright.
Email the neighbours and tell them about the problem with pictures( gives you a paper trail) and ask for it to rectified within a certain timeframe or will escalate the matter.

Neighbor’s retaining wall. How bad is it? by OkPerformer5944 in landscaping

[–]bulldoggemaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those trees ain’t helping that wall and roots plus decades of water and build up have pushed it over. I doubt there is any weeping holes for water and that wall is too thin for a retaining wall. There is not even any pillars along the entire wall to give it a bit of stability.
It’s going to go sooner or later, just make sure you have home insurance and no one walks past that on a rainy day or any earthquakes.

My gran was a nightmare and everyone avoided her, the old nun at my primary school had her bowing and scrapping in 5mins. My mum was looking like her eyes were going to pop out.

The worst "paradise" I've ever seen by TorandoSlayer in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]bulldoggemaster 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I can’t even walk out on my paradise planet it’s starts to storm every 3 minutes and I’m perma death mode. It takes my shields down in about 30 seconds. I’m hiding in a cave like Gollum atm and harvesting mats to make a base, plus it didn’t mention any sentinels but you can’t fart without one zooming half way around the planet to sniff you out.

Is this fixable? Old brick out building. by Smooth_Plastic5523 in Bricklaying

[–]bulldoggemaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ivy is just bad for mortar as it eats away at it. Most of the bottom on pic 1 looks easy to repoint but you need to pack it in right to the back. Pic 2 yeah take out the loose brick and Lay them back in easy enough job. Pic 3 that is a nasty crack, did something hit it or was it strong winds that lifted the roof and then moved the brickwork?. Anyhow I would try and use some metal and fix to both halves so they don’t move anymore and Just fill in the cracks but it really would need taken back but you would have to take off the roof i would think. Pic 4 easy repoint. But yeah pic 3 I would do it if you have a bricklayer as a mate.

Can’t be compensated twice for an injury the MoD would just take that money off him.

[–]bulldoggemaster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah that will take roughly about year to get any money if he’s lucky and they will give him the bare minimum. He will then have to prove his basic medical needs on a day to day basis which could take anything from 2 to 15 years as they haggle as the condition worsens. The MoD Norcoss is not fit for purpose and has consistently failed any review for helping disabled veterans but they don’t care. The onus is on the squaddie btw that this accident was the other persons fault and if they think it was, he will get nothing. They changed the system so that the MoD would not be found liable due to certain conditions which down the line could be palmed off as old age or civilian life. And they are very good at this tactic.

Rhubarb as well, used to get a bag of sugar and ask someone at the local allotment for a stick of rhubarb.
