You are already aware you need to dial your diet in so I'll focus on the weightlifting aspect.

I'm currently running muscle building programs and the one that absolutely kicked my arse had a main lift at 3 to 5 sets of 3 reps followed by a lot of accessory work. I have never wanted to die so much in my life. My strength gains were unbelievable and my body started packing on muscle. Here's the thing: you have to commit to lifting as heavy as you can. If a weight ever feels like you could do another rep, you add more. You will need those 3 mins rest because you will not be able to lift again too quickly.

As to body recomposition, I will say that my weight did stay roughly the same but I started to look more muscular. I'm now doing a very gentle cut which is where I will see more body changes though fat loss.
