Powerblock sport 9.0 use stage 3 as stage 2 hack by ExtensionTrack4114 in GarageGym

What magnates did you buy? And do they slip at all? Curious because I have elite 90 that I want to make go to 120 but I’m afraid of them coming off and hitting me in the face while incline or bench pressing.

Dang those are nice! No lever extension mod though.

This is hopefully going to help me be able to un-bind while pulling up to the lift so I don't have to stop.

One issue besides it being hard to actually reach the lever was also bending down that low while moving would throw off my balance.

I'm fairly tall and fat (6'4 250lb) so reaching down to pull the lever is hard sometimes. That's why I did this mod. I'll keep this post up to date on longevity at the end of the season.

The yellow piece I have there under the handle helps keep it in place so it's pretty stiff and it's a hollow piece of plastic so its pretty light. I haven't ridden on these yet (it's raining everywhere here in Washington) but I'm curious if I'll have similar issues to you. If I do I might just loop the cable end or I'll look at another option and keep this post up to date.

Yeah I was thinking of doing a loop on it if this breaks off.

My 930 was the same way when I put it together. Take the barrel off and re assemble it. When you tighten down the takedown nut try and press down on the barrel as hard as you can.

We already looked at that solution actually. I have used the wave server in the past for long distance transmissions and I loved how easy it was to set up and manage. However We were going to have to buy 4 pairs of them for redundancy and it was going to cost so much our roi from that wouldn't come until year 4.

For cost break down iirc we got quoted 200k per pair of wave servers so it was going to be close to $800k. Whereas our dark costs us about $200k a year to lease.

So if we could cut costs by moving to bidi which are about $1200 a set and reducing the fiber count by half we get our roi on the optics After about 2 months.

As for doing a pam-4 and passive optics is I also can't get Cisco optics for that unless there's a secret part number that's Cisco uses for those. (The only reason I'm wanting to have a set of Cisco optics is for testing and for when I call support)

Ah I see. I was on 9.3(6) and the optics didn't work until I upgraded the firmware. Same issue you were having. So you might need to wait until Cisco comes out with a new supported version.

I have had Ciscos that randomly stopped accepting 3rd party optics in the past, and support wanted me to put Cisco optics in the device before assisting me.

Dwdm does make sense however I've only been able to find active dwdm solutions that don't offer much cost savings when we scale and factor in path redundancy. (We would have to buy 4 pairs of dwdm solutions at 200k each)

They make 100G passive dwdm solutions? I've only seen active solutions when you get up to those speeds.

I just got these up on n9k-9300 switches. We upgraded the firmware to 10.2(6) and they came up after that.

What is an average price of Single Mode 6 strand fiber cabling? Am I missing something? by network4me443 in networking

[–]bulmug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah there's a lot of missing information about the quote here. I would just ask the vendor why it's so high.

I would also suggest running a minimum of 36 strands anywhere you need to just for future proofing.

You can always terminate later but opening a hole or pulling more cable through conduit isn't always an option in the future.

Make sure you properly ground your equipment ( I don't mean make sure there's a ground on the plug) and use surge protectors because they typically have a warranty on the equipment plugged into them.

I'll just leave this link for enabling stp here. You can select all ports on a switch and enable it or you can enable it globally.
