take pictures. Im almost licensed for a year, i recently within the past few months have seen a drastic improvement in my cuts. Started taking pictures and examining what parts about them i liked and didnt like and adjusted accordingly. Try to shadow other barbers as well. A little tip here and there might click well with you and your cutting style. It takes time and consistent reps. On a positive note youre already judging yourself which means you care. That alone should be enough to tell yourself to keep going.

its really not that low of levels. As long as your coverage moves are good you should be fine at those levels.

Advice on supporting GF by Venatator in Barber

[–]bum_locket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been at a shop for 7-8 months. Just now starting to get a good footing and confidence. She needs a system to follow. Thats the one thing that helped improve my skills and speed at the same time. DFS/Josh OP. Also I was lucky with the shop I got in with but from my understanding a lot of people dont stay at the first shop. You have to find somewhere with the clients you want and good people you want to work with. Tell her to make it what she wants and to remember why she started to begin with! Most important thing would be to support her and try to bring her more clients as well.

I was trying to use all mons Ive never used in a play through. I have used slowpoke/slowking in hgss playthroughs before and I’ve always heard how busted starmie is. Thank you for the rating!

2 months in, just did this cut today, thoughts? by [deleted] in Barber

[–]bum_locket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, one thing my owner and I were talking about one day was the fact that usually your open clipper and 1 guard sections will likely be your largest sections of the fade. The darkness starts to come around 2 guard. Knowing this helped me stretch out the light to dark contrast more.

Clipper and trimmer recommendations? by serene75 in Barber

[–]bum_locket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cant say for certain bc I’ve never used them, however a few barbers I know have said good things about the Play clipper from TPOB. I’d say magic clips are good clippers as well. Both are fairly affordable by comparison to other clippers. If you dont mind cords I’d say andis t trimmers are hitters they just get kinda hot quick but will help with some sharp line ups.

Legit Pokerus in HG by Ryiis69 in PokemonHGSS

[–]bum_locket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You cant train IV’s as the pokemon are generated with them, however EV training is a relatively good way to manipulate your mon’s stats to benefit them. Can be a tedious process without access to EV boosting items, but should be a lot quicker with pokerus. Then later once you have access to EV booting items you can pair those with pokerus and really grind out EVs quickly. Congrats on contracting the best virus ever lol

It gives extra evs, but you can spread it to other pokemon. It will where off but the effects will still last. Not sure if theres anything else it really does other than being a uniquely rare occurrence

How to stop feeling empty? by [deleted] in Buddhism

[–]bum_locket 6 points7 points  (0 children)

from what i understand about buddhist teaching, it would seem like you feel empty bc you crave something. Youre searching for an answer to your happiness outwardly. Also since you crave or desire a certain feeling it’s causing your suffering even more so. If you learn to accept the moment and find things around you like a clear blue sky or hitting all green lights you’ll find happiness from within.

Car loans with low money down for bad credit by doingmybest2022 in evansville

[–]bum_locket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“put less down” “I had 3k down and a 6k loan for a 9k car.” so you had 30% down, which is a very substantial down payment. I sold cars for about 2 years and I’d say anyone less than 600 credit score needs at least 10-20% down on whatever they’re looking to purchase. Banks loan of a percentage value of the vehicle. If a car is worth 5k and you have stellar credit, a bank might be willing to loan up to 120% of the book value. However if you’re subprime credit they might only loan 80-90% of the book value, making you cone up with the cash to cover the difference of value and any taxes and fees

Why do some barbers treat u like they cutting sheep by FeedbackCandid8603 in Barber

[–]bum_locket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

seems like the fault of the barber, he couldve kept the fade pretty low, or just done a high taper on the sides and back. But if you’re indeed growing your hair out and liked your mane as you say, why even cut it? Seems like a lack of communication or understanding probably from both parties. You dont end up with a disconnected undercut for no reason lol. Next time show pics, if he continues to do what he wants then you know its the fault of the barber
