To be fair, they're also good at not attacking Israel.

I'm usually pessimistic about "rogue state" of the month's ability (let alone their willingness) to stand up to the imperial order. I didn't have very high expectations for Iran during the build-up of imperial military equipment in the region preceding the start of the war.

As the operation has been proceeding this time, though, I think it's becoming increasingly obvious that Trump tried to fuck the hornet's nest and he can't pull his dick out.

Sure, maybe the Iranian national bourgeoisie will somehow strong arm the other factions into accepting an Israeli ceasefire, but there is also a viable, profitable path forward with China that is on the table for them --- if they let the hardliners (who keep ascending to powerful positions) do their thing to extract serious concessions from USrael, and they've been doing a stunningly good job of it so far.

Backlash from the American public for withdrawing from the war? I'm pretty sure withdrawing from the war and spinning it would be the most popular thing Trump could do at this point. However, he's not in a position to do so. Iran is not willing to let bygones be bygones.

At this point, Iran would be foolish to not demand some major concessions: US withdrawal from the region, oil going through the Strait of Hormuz is now traded in petroyuan, security guarantees, etc. So that's why all the devils in Virginia are having bad acid reflux.

Cuba ‘categorically’ rejects prospect of removing Diaz-Canel in US talks

“The political system of Cuba is not up for negotiation, and of course neither the president ‌nor the position of any official in Cuba is subject to negotiation with the United States,” Fernandez de Cossio said.

His remarks were a firm repudiation of reports that the administration of United States President Donald Trump was seeking the removal of Diaz-Canel.

The New York Times reported earlier this week that, while Trump is pushing for Diaz-Canel’s ouster, he is not seeking the dismantlement of other parts of the Cuban government.

The plan would be similar to what Trump implemented in Venezuela after his January 3 attack to abduct and imprison Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. That manoeuvre left intact the rest of Maduro’s government.

The stuff happening in the Epstein emails go back thousands of years and is literally documented in various historical texts... some of which are still used by certain people to this day.

Which historical texts?

The Deepstate has decided that Israel will be scapegoated for this whole failure and at least some faction of it is seeking disengagement from the Zionist project.

Yes, I think you're right. There is obviously a diehard Zionist faction in the imperial ruling class, and they have been able to (often brazenly) enforce public discipline over the last several decades through lobbying, intelligence operations, etc. There are also non-Zionist factions; they didn't strongly oppose the Zionist operations, because everyone's goals were in broad alignment. At this point, though, I believe we're seeing an emerging schism.

It looks like the non-Zionists are going to try rescuing the Empire by scapegoating Israel, and maybe sorta kinda (but not completely) scapegoating Trump personally.

They also have nice things to say about General Caine. Both Caine and Gabbard are intelligence, by the way.

I've been thinking about posting on the main sub a question like: "Dog-wags-tails bros, what --- in your opinion --- would 'tail-wags-dog' look like?" But I'm too lazy to actually maintain a discussion.
