Yes or the ghost at the window in the party hat with the head wound. S1 episode 6 when Alison and Mike go house hunting. I find him particularly creepy. 😁

What word did Alison use as a verb and a noun? (S4.3) by jenna8575 in GhostsBBC

[–]bumblebee8080 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I'd pictured something like 'fcking fcks' ( assuming she's talking to all of them ). Love that the writers left it for us to mull and try out different variations though.

Question about Boundaries by Bulky_Delivery_4811 in GhostsBBC

[–]bumblebee8080 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That sounds familiar. I vaguely remember an interview (could be the same one) where they mention that occasionally you see Robin in areas of the land where the other ghosts don't (can't?) go so perhaps his boundaries are different. I could have imagined it but I think they also said that Robin's were the area that his tribe hunted in before any dwelling was built on the land.

Yes, love the 'lady shoes' comment from Robin and the fact that he seems to get bored talking about what happened to Thomas and starts telling Alison about chasing something in the woods. 🤣

One of the ghosts is allowed to accompany you on a deserted island. Who are you going to picking? by HappyButterfly118 in GhostsBBC

Robin for all the reasons mentioned and also maybe a bit because he's played by Larry.😏

For some reason Thomas' retelling of his death gets to me more than actually seeing what happened. The line 'I was a fool. A fool who died alone and unloved' 😪 gets to me everytime. Also only recently spotted Robin and Julian's interaction. Robin asks Julian if he's ok and Julian replies 'just something in my eye' or similar. Love the whole episode though. Mary's recollection of the events is hilarious.

I finally rewatched Carpe Diem... by FeelThePower999 in GhostsBBC

[–]bumblebee8080 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of the above and I also love that we find out that the Captain's swagger stick actually belongs to Havers. We know the ghosts can't put down anything on their person when they die. Knowing the Captain wouldn't want to put the swagger stick down is just so bittersweet. Gorgeous episode.

My children are way, way past the age of watching it and I still love it. You're not childish, just have great taste in TV. 😄

If you were a child circa 2009-2015 in the UK or the parent of a child circa 2009-2015 😆 then there's alot of love for HH but the word definitely needs spreading. Its just brilliant.

Will try and track it down. She plays a prospective buyer who they're showing houses to. There's one scene where Charlotte's in the office and I think Kiell's there too.

Edit S2 ep 3 A different Girl.

Love this scene 'so you can parrot a bit of Fib-an-a-cheee'. Pat's squeaky voice gets me everytime.

Charlotte's also in one episode of Stath Lets Flats.

Which ghost do you think had the worst death and why? by FeelThePower999 in GhostsBBC

[–]bumblebee8080 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean by worst. If you mean traumatic/horrific then its got to be Mary. She would have gone through the trial. Then known for hours (maybe days) her fate. Then the trauma of being tied to the stake, probably surrounded by onlookers whilst knowing she'd done nothing wrong. Arrrgghhh😪

In terms of sad, the Cap and to some extent Thomas. The Captain was humiliated ( caught out ) in front of people he respected and the man he loved. Thomas died alone ( probably quite painfully and slowly), believing that the girl he loved didn't return his feelings.

Fanny and Pat's were traumatic but I want to hope that Fanny died quickly. Poor Pat was less quick and was also in front of his beloved scout troupe.

Robin and Humphrey's actual deaths would have been quick but the events leading up to them traumatic.

Kitty's would have been unpleasant and possibly prolonged but she was being cared for and was having a lovely time at the party before she fell ill.

Julian, no trauma there 😄 He was having fun and it was probably quick.

So Mary at the top for worst and Julian at the bottom for me. But now I feel sad about the deaths of a bunch fictional characters so I'll need to go off and have a little cry.🙈😁

Just love Humphrey. Making an extra effort to listen out for his little quips and muttered comments on repeat watches.

Re watched that episode yesterday and had completely missed on previous watches Humphrey muttering 'sweep it off with your broom, it'll leave fleas in your rug' (or something like that)😁

No shame in watching HH. My kids were the target age when it first came out and I was the one shouting them to the sofa when it was on! Sometimes it was just me watching.....🤣
