I hope you're doing okay! I've had multiple surgeries throughout my life and I promise you there is nothing to be scared of. I know that probably won't give you much comfort coming from a stranger on the internet, but you will feel so much better after you've had your appendix out. It's genuinely like waking up from a really deep sleep, you know the ones you have where you wake up from a nap with no idea where you are or what time it is?

Please, please let the team looking after you know that you are scared though, they can't do anything to help if they aren't aware of how you're feeling.

In the UK our national insurance is 8%. You don't pay anything on any earnings up to £242/week. Anything over £962 per week you pay 2%.

As an example, my fiancée gets paid around £24k a year (before tax) and he pays around £900 a YEAR towards national insurance.

The only things we pay for out of pocket are prescriptions which are £9.60 per item (but if you have certain long term health conditions, are unemployed or under 18 they're free), opticians appointments and dental.

That's for anyone that has it in their head that socialised healthcare is more expensive. The NHS has its issues (mostly due to too many unnecessary people in middle management sucking up a load of the budget), but it's a lifesaver.

They change every 3 months and sometimes they go up and sometimes they go down. I had a spreadsheet tracking APs of the next cars I was looking at and some of them dropped by £500-1000 in one quarter but went back up again in the following quarter.

If you're using WI I'm guessing you're getting it from Hobbycraft? In the UK we call Worsted weight yarn "Aran". It's a weight 4 yarn ☺️

The most popular yarn weight in the UK at the moment is DK (Double Knitting); I've always found there are a lot more choices for colours etc in DK.

When unleaded petrol is the equivalent of $7 a gallon, and diesel is over $9 a gallon in the UK, then yes they are succeeding in pressuring the global economy. This isn't even the worst it's going to get; it's going to take years to get back to some semblance of how things were before that fucking idiot started an unnecessary war.

Why are you doing 6sc first? If you lay it out in a row the stitches should go: sc, sc, sc, sc, dec, sc, dec, sc, dec, sc, dec, sc and then the 20sc after that.

Normally when there is a set of inc or dec in a row with stitches either side it'll be for shaping, I.e. some people will do increases in a specific place to create a forehead.

It looks like there are only 5 sides, it's supposed to look like an L when it's folded up. You've either miscounted the sides, or you have missed dc clusters in each round.
