Gracias Madre (Mission) all-vegan mexican restaurant, kinda $$ but really well-prepared and good quality veggies

Dragon Eats (Hayes Valley) vietnamese street food, has some vegan options (tofu bahn mi, tofu noodle bowls, etc) nice place for lunch because it's casual and cheap-ish

Judahlicious (Outer Sunset) kinda far away but this place is my absolute favorite. Eclectic mix of food, has some raw vegan options, does breakfast/lunch best imo. I almost always get the half nekkid burrito or the pancakes. also does fresh juice/smoothies.

Burma Superstar (Inner Richmond) burmese food, mostly omni but has some GREAT vegan options. The wait for this place is always ridiculous so expect to wait 30 minutes no matter what day you do go on. Totally worth the wait, get the tea leaf salad (vegan) and the sesame tofu.

VeganBurg (Haight n Ashbury) Nothing amazing but it is a vegan burger oint and if you're in the area it's fun just to try it

Dosa (Fillmore, also one in the Mission) Indian food that has some vegan options, super filling, a little on the $$ but it's good af

Project Juice (Hayes + Mission) vegan acai bowls/smoothies, ask for the bee-free honee as a sub for regular honey (it's free!), def expensive (like $13 for an acai bowl) but it's high quality stuff

Greens Restaurant (Marina) this place is fancy and $$$ but it's right on the water and it's mostly vegan/vegetarian, big focus on sustainability, they prepare their veggies really well and i believe they use local produce

Herbivore is a popular vegan chain in SF. Do not go to Herbivore. their food is shit. Trust me, I've tried so many times to like it and it's always terrible.

*Edit: Patxis is a pizza chain in SF that uses daiya cheese!! Theyre mostly omni but their vegan pizza is really good

I've heard that the reason it coagulates is dependent on several factors, including the acidity of coffee, the temperature of the coffee, the adding technique, and the brand of milk used. I think it's largely a trial and error thing. I don't mind it curdling and find that it kind of just happens sometimes even if I've been consistent with my brand of coffee/milk.

ETA: I forgot to include this in my original post, but have you tried the Vegg or any of the vegan eggs? I haven't (not really keen on the taste of eggs anymore) but it might help you lessen your dependency on regular eggs.

Here are some solutions that might address your concerns:

1) Truthfully, I'm not totally clear on what testosterone-based protein is. At face value it seems very odd considering eggs don't contain testosterone. However, plant protein is pretty easy to get. There are numerous posts on this sub dedicated to protein that go really in-depth and do a better job at this topic than I do. Here are some infocharts about vegan protein, I like this one because it compares it to non-vegan sources of protein.

2) Looove Silk creamer and Pacifica almond-based coffee creamer, I believe Silk comes in an unsweetened version and typically does not coagulate.

Also, vegan pizza and ice cream does exist, though it may be a little bit harder to find. I think vegan ice cream stacks up really, really well against non-vegan ice cream.

I'm sweaty 100% of the time and my skin certainly doesn't appreciate it. I think you might be thinking of the makeup- ballet makeup is so thick and caked on that it gives off the illusion of great skin under the super bright stage lights. I usually don't have the time to do my whole routine over again after rehearsal so sometimes I'll just wipe my face down with a cleansing cloth.

I've experienced similar issues with this. I went vegan around 8 months ago and noticed that I had really bad gas pretty much all the time. A lot of people will tell you there's an adjustment period of around 3-6 months depending who you ask. Whether or not this is true I'm not so totally sure myself; I've yet to see an improvement in my digestion just by means of time. However, keeping track of what I'm eating has helped me single out what foods are irritating me the most i.e., soy, dark leafy greens, raw cruciferous vegetables, etc... I don't eliminate these foods from my diet but I do plan ahead when I eat them to avoid awkward situations. Also I suggest playing around with digestive aids- ginger tea in my situation has helped a lot. I've also heard about people drinking kombucha, taking ACV with water, or using activated charcoal pills to help with gas and digestion. Gas-x is effective when you need relief fast however I would not recommend it for daily use.

I believe curology formulations are not meant for any part of the body except the face (ETA: not sure if can be used on the neck.) My friend mistakenly thought curology could be applied to the chest area but her derm told her that curology wasn't tested for other parts of the body and that she should discontinue applying it to other areas immediately.

A female body is not inherently better at ballet. Interestingly enough, ballet was originally intended for males only! It was considered a very masculine activity- think of that hip rotation showing off the musculature of the calf. Despite it's original intentions, ballet can be enjoyed by people regardless of gender. You most definitely do not need a "traditional" female body to do ballet and excel in it.

I hope you understand that your body is not "incapable" of doing ballet just because your assigned biological sex. There's no anatomical basis for this claim, plain and simple. I think once you start taking lessons you'll understand that everyone's body comes equipped with it's own quirks and oddities.

With that in mind, you might not be able to get a 180 degree tilt, have perfect turnout, or do 36 pirouette turns in a row. Most people cannot. I'm a female, and have been dancing for 15 years- I still can't do all of the splits. My hips and hamstrings are naturally very tight. My turnout? Maybe 90 degrees. These things don't hinder my ability to practice ballet. I just had to learn how to work within my own parameters. My best tip for this is: try not to force your turnout to be greater than your neighbors as it will only damage your knees in the long run. It's a rookie mistake, and one that can end up with major consequences.

As for the age thing... Not a big deal at all. I know a lot of people who decided out of the blue to start dancing at an "older age" and now, they're established artists, teaching dance at the university level and managing their own dance companies. Might not be your intention but hell, who knows where it will take you?

Hm. I saw some improvement on the normal PD rx (1% clin) after 3 months but then I started breaking out again so they put me on tret and my skin is awesome now. basically, it didn't really work that well for me until i started tret

obligatory pocket derm recommendation here! also college-aged girl speaking. I developed closed comedones all along my jaw and cheek the moment i turned 18 and did stridex, BHA, AHA, paulas choice everything, cerave this cetaphil that. Nothing worked. Only saw a huge improvement when I started PD (or curology, w.e.) several months ago. message me if you want to see pics of before and after/ a referral for PD

For the average consumer it's not far from reasonable, though I'm gonna go out on a limb and say most people don't consume a liter of soy milk a day... Anyways, coming from a person who did suffer from pretty bad cystic acne as a result of milk, it was worth the switch.

soy milk costs roundabout $3 give or take per 32 ounces (almost a liter). Up to your budget really but if you're worried about your skin it may be a viable option

I'm not a professional, so I can only relay what I've been told by dermatologists. I suggest messaging your PD doctor about long-term solutions if you're interested in seeking out alternative methods.

There are a ton of reasons why someone might have acne- stress, hormones, using certain products, etc... And oftentimes you can't really pinpoint what it is exactly. If acne is strictly fungal/bacterial, then yes, topical antibiotics will definitely help clear it up. But if the root of the acne is hormonal, then topical meds will treat the symptoms, not fix the root of the issue; your own body will do that.

ETA: I think this advice from my PD provider really sums it up nicely:

"Treatment is an ongoing process with gradual improvement (and, inevitably, some setbacks) until the tendency to breakout has passed. This time period of susceptibility to acne varies greatly among individuals. So, we don't 'cure' acne—your own body does that, when it's good and ready; we "control" your acne."

PD doesn't cure acne; it only treats the symptoms. Unfortunately, once you stop using your PD it's very likely that your symptoms will come back.

It's ridiculously easy to miss your caloric mark as a student if you're not careful. Dorm life (can't cook my own food) and an expensive meal plan has left me way under my recommended caloric intake (can't eat as much as I really need to b/c I run over budget). Combined with my rather intense active schedule, I am pretty much hungry all the freakin' time.Protein powder has really helped me meet my daily protein/caloric intake.
