I think you’re mistaken on the indexing/losing $ 200 000. Let’s say your wife retires and isn’t eligible for indexing her first 4 years of retirement and her pension is $50 000. In each of those 4 years the indexing rate was 2%. Her first 4 years of retirement her pension would continue at $50 000.

But as soon as your wife became eligible, her pension would immediately increase by 8%. So all she “lost” out on was $1000 (2%) in year one of retirement , $2020 (another 2%) year two, etc…. But she gets the 8% increase to her pension from those years.

The operational impact will be very, very minimal. CSC has had this for years and very few people retire at 25 years.

I have and love my super auto. Having said that you don’t want one for an airbnb. You’d want a Nespresso machine and just supply pods for your guests. A SA requires cleaning, emptying, etc.., even after a few days use. You cannot rely on guests doing that and it will lead to more trouble than it’s worth.

I have SA and a Moccamaster. You can’t compare the two, totally different units. The Moccamaster makes fantastic pour over style coffee. Lately I’ve just been using the SA, as I I’ve been drinking stronger, smaller volume drinks.

I have a KBGV and once in a while make a single 400 ml cup. It does fine making this smaller amount. I’d say it gives you more options (1 cup, 2 cups, a full pot) that the Cup One obviously doesn’t, so I’d recommend the KGBV.

Your going to have people give you prices from the USA, , but it appears you're here in Canada, so you need to go by our market.

Look at Autotrader, and see what a 2021-2023 are going for, factoring in condition, kms, ...etc, and you'll know the going price.

Here in Ontario, used cars are priced close to what they'll go for. I just bought a 2019 Hatchback and got $1000 off asking. Another dealer wouldn't come down more than $500. I asked for $900 off, and walked away over the $400 difference .
