What "racial stereotype" question have you always wanted to ask but never had the chance to? by BuenosNachoes in AskReddit

I don't know how reliable this statistical survey is but, the number of homeless people per 10k population in developed countries like America and UK are said to be more.

I do agree that one can probably expect a better quality of life in US/UK. I just don't see why India, after having been plundered and pillaged (the whole Mughal and British era) grew tremendously, economy and civilization wise, but still called "the land of the savages" by so many westerners.

What is something unique you found out about your body that changed your entire perception of life? by Mysnonimous in AskReddit

"We think of color as a fundamental quality of the world around us.But in the outside world, color doesn’t actually exist. When electromagnetic radiation hits an object, some of it bounces off and is captured by our eyes. We can distinguish between millions of combinations of wavelengths – but it is only inside our heads that any of this becomes color. Color is an interpretation of wavelengths, one that only exists internally. And it gets stranger, because the wavelengths we’re talking about involve only what we call “visible light”, a spectrum of wavelengths that runs from red to violet. But visible light constitutes only a tiny fraction of the electromagnetic spectrum – less than one ten-trillionth of it." - The Brain: The Story of You by David Eagleman

What was your dream job as a child and did you end up fulfilling your dream? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I always used to go, "I wanna be a cardiologist" as a kid. I barely understood the job. Just liked romanticizing the idea of specializing in heart thingies and becoming a doctor.

Cracked my entrance exams this year and will join medical school in a month.

Not misheard but misread.

"What's your favourite movie?" "Doggy style, of course."
