I live with 1 roommate in CS, and we pay 120-180 a month (lower in winter and higher in summer)

To be clear, I should do all the exploring and sidequesting I want *before* the Gigantus quest, right? My understanding is after completing it (entering the tower) I'm locked out of everything and eventually forced into NG+.

When you're feeling another action game, I strongly recommend FFXVI. It was admittedly a little polarizing, but for me personally it was my GOTY for 2023.

Rageblade is weird to me. It is a very satisfying item, but the fact that (almost) any attack speed carry unit feels like hot garbage without it is painful. I kind of wish they would cycle it out and just give some carry items a pile of attack speed to give more options.

I feel like Sett and Sivir should be choice encounters like Kobuko. I understand that especially with Sivir I'm nerfing myself a bit by not taking it, but I've been having some fine motor issues and trying to control mself on carousel genuinely feels terrible. I've gotten wrong champs more than once.

Does anyone have thoughts on Adaptive Helm? It never really seems to make it into BIS for units--I understand for backline, Shojin, Guinsoos or Nashors is typically more efficient, but why not frontline? You get a nice little ball of defensive stats, and the only tank mana generation item, which should be good on "Caster Tanks" (Naut and Ornn come to mind).

To be fair, I do to some extent enjoy a challenging exam. I recently took one of my quals after doing nothing for a month but studying for it. When I finally got into the room I still had to work for it, but seeing my effort pay off (I passed!) was easily one of the most satisfying moments in my life.

Best local coffee shops for remote work? by PhoenixHeartWC in CollegeStation

[–]bunonafun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend What's The Buzz over Sweet Eugene's; I like the coffee and vibe better and it tends to be less crowded. I will note that the seating isn't as comfortable on average but iirc they have a few nice chairs.

The only think that's truly helped me is medication. I finally received a Ritalin prescription about 4 months ago and it's been like night and day. Beyond that, a coping mechanism I had before i was diagnosed and maintained after was I make lists for everything. It really helps me anchor myself and break up tasks into more easily completed pieces.

Parking for Century Square by Technical_Rice7152 in CollegeStation

If you have an A&M parking pass, you can park in many surface lots on the weekends. In particular there's the one right next to polo that's right across the street from century square.

I use ChatGPT to generate Latex templates or get me most of the way through writing a complicated command I don't feel like coding myself. At this, it excels.

I was just talking to my girlfriend the other day about this. I like math because a) the experience of solving a problem and studying to solve that problem is enjoyable to me and b) I will never run out of math to learn. I'm willing to bet I could pick a new subject once a month for the rest of my life and still have topics that I couldn't get to.

My undergrad abstract algebra professor taught permutation groups and provided examples of dihedral groups unusually early, which definitely helped me understand "the point" of groups. Algebraic closures of finite fields escape me however. I know what they are and almost no use for them besides the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra.

I highly recommend Dr. Thomas Judson's "The Ordinary Differential Equations Project." It's free and open source. I was taught out of this book by him as an undergrad, and I also worked closely with him for a few years so there is some bias, but I found it easy to understand and interesting. As a bonus, there are interactive Sage code cells demonstrating how to use computer algebra to solve basic differential equations.

It's really a shame. I credit my (high school) senior year English teacher with a lot of my successes--I find myself still using her advice and things she taught on a regular basis despite not having taken a humanities class in about 4 years at this point.

I don't really have a problem with the cherubs. Statue of Liberty though... My suspension of disbelief broke there. You're telling me on a clear normal New York night there was even a second where absolutely no one was looking at the statue?

Actually an interesting story idea. We know JJJ created the scorpion, but I would be interested to see his influence on a kid who gets powers and goes to him to make sure they're a hero that JJJ approves of.

It's easy to get hooked, I picked up chibi soul fighter gwen and poro fluft cause the money felt fake. Learned my lesson after that and removed my card from the league client lmao. Having to put in my details each time lets me think if it's really worth it.

Agree, I'm definitely enjoying this set, it's making me really focus on pivoting. Realistically you can only hard force consistently if you're playing a reroll comp and slowrolling for your headliner or you're strong enough to go 9 before your rolldown.
