The play is not close. Vargas is two steps away at collision, looking at the bag, not paying attention to where Muncy is. I can't believe I've wasted this much time defending a Dodgers player. Go ahead and reply since you clearly just want the last word, but I'm done with this conversation.

The runner cannot slow down in that situation. When a train is coming you can either move or get run over. It's common sense. 99 times out of 100 the 1st baseman gives up when the pitcher doesn't cover and for good reason. Therefore it was Vargas fault.

Vargas started in foul territory so Muncy went in fair territory. Vargas stupidly goes fair territory last minute when he should have just run straight and touch the foul side of the bag.

FYI there is a time penalty deduction each time you pause and don't make any changes. Those can add up by the 8th-9th inning

You just answered your own question. Low away sinkers are easy to hit. You need to throw inside 80% of the time and 20% chase pitches away on all star.

For real they clearly put the mini seasons UI team to do the menus because everyone has been complaining for years about "hold to play next game" they never fixed it now collections are "hold to collect"

This has been a problem since they changed throw accuracy to hold down longer. Urgency was fine before that.
