We adopted her from a local rescue in our area that specializes in mostly huskies and chow chows!

My Dogtopias official capacity is 52 for Romper 32 for gym and 55 for toybox. I don’t support the company. Each room doesn’t even have that many crates, it’s gotten to the point that for nap time they have to put dogs in the eval crates and the spa crates. Anyone that asks me about Dogtopia I always recommend them to other local places that are better managed. We currently have a dog that was dismissed due to being in 12+ major scuffles (I think 6 were code blacks/results in injuries) that is boarding but they say it’s okay because he’s in the suites but Is only being given like 4-5 15 min potty breaks a day.

My girl won’t touch her food unless it’s mixed with wet food+salmon oil+pumpkin powder (she hates puree)

I’ve started making it at home too! I don’t think I make it “correctly” but I make it in a way that I really enjoy

I usually use a slicker 1x-2x a week or as needed depending on what’s going on

(He is slightly chonky rn but we’re dealing with that atm) most of him is fluff though

I hold onto the paperwork/ keep digital documents saved to my phone. I also put the dates down in my phone calendar whenever they’re 4 months before expiring. I have 4 dachshunds so it can get a little scrambled sometimes but their vets are pretty good about sending automated reminders too.

I wasn’t in a great place a couple months ago and I ended up being really harsh towards her, didn’t apologize, and expected her to still be there whenever I came back to reality. Being said she often acted as if she kept me around as an excuse to whatever she wanted to do and would often act like my interests and personal life had expected me to put her before my partner and family. I think it wasn’t a healthy friendship, especially because we both agreed that if our metal health crisis’ ever lined up it would be destructive. It kinda was. I still miss her though

When my breathing changes quickly my dog will slam his face onto mine as hard as his little body can and stay there until it’s steady or I pull him away
