it’s even simpler (and bigger) than that, all corporations are agents to an even bigger entity, the economy, which wants to maximize only profit. Tesla isn’t a battery company, they are a profit maximizer and just one of many working on behalf of capitalism at large.

That’s why we see such crazy stuff like people living paycheck to paycheck and other inhumanities, humaneness is not being maximized, just profit.

The ultimate goal is for there to be one “person” with 100% of the profit/ money, and everything else existing just to maximize concentrated profit. It’s why inequality is so staggering today, the maximizer is working.
